Jack is tough as a head DA! And what a surprise it was to find out he becomes the head DA! Amazing! I'm on season 16 of the original Law and Order, and this episode is 2 years afterwards, so Jack must become head DA by then, which is very surprising! Branch said to him not long ago that he'd never become head DA because he's more focused on being a prosecutor rather than the head boss and he wouldn't be good at being aware of and balancing the politics involved in the head position, basically. But i did think that with Branch saying that to him, Jack would learn from that and help to become a head DA one day. It's great to see him in that position this episode.

Regarding this episode overall, it was pretty good. A good psychological mental health case, and the contrasting views and behaviors of our characters over the case.

When they were arriving at the park with the arch, one of the cop cars did a slick-ass drifting slide onto the grass. Shame it was only halfway in frame on the left side.

It's been interesting to see how the early seasons of the show used the death penalty as a threat to suspects fairly often, but has since transitioned into not being legal. It was ruled unconstitutional in NY in 2004.
