Probably the worst episode of SVU ever, and I've seen them all.
Horrible, offensive episode of TV. SVU has never been worse. If the person who made this is pro-cop and anti-social justice, they did great work here with this absurd propaganda built from right wing fantasies. If the person who made this thought they were making some kind of commentary on racism or racial injustice, get your head examined.

Strange that they showed a location card before the crime even took place. They normally do that as we follow the detectives around.
Criminals were literally running rampant and vandalizing the inside of the police precinct, but the cops are too afraid to do anything about it because they'll "end up on YouTube?" Fucking hell... that was stupid. And where the hell was the building security? An entire mob is able to just waltz on in with no problems?
Alright, yeah, racial inequality and all that, sure. But the victim of a rape and the victim's wife being worried that the literal rapist might not get a fair trial is just utterly fucking ridiculous. No sane person would be worried about that.
Honestly, though, it was kind of hilarious, in a macabre sort of way. The exact same vibe as that webcomic where the author of the comic had their bike stolen, and they reasoned that the thief was happier to have the bike than he was sad to have lost his bike, so it's ok. Lmao. Truly unhinged and insane reasoning.
So far This season is no longer as good as it should be. Who ever is writing each episode needs a rocket :rocket: and needs to get back to the SVU we know and love. Episodes need to improve and fast!
The woman was wearing the bathing suit when the cops found her but the cops don't know what happened to it! maybe it wasn't there! And apparently males are too stupid to know what a bathing suit and/or evidence is. Also why is Olivia still wearing a bracelet from a sex doll, a sex doll. Episode was bad. I can't see anybody letting a rapist go because of their skin color. A criminal, is a criminal, is a criminal.
This was a sloppily written episode. I get what they were going for but this writer's room got it totally wrong. It read more like what a Gen-Xer's caricature of what a millennial might think.
Believe it or not, millennials can process nuance. They can push for prosecution of horrific and violent crimes like rape while also acknowledging that there is an implicit long standing racial bias in the criminal justice system.
So basically this episode is about when white SJW's get sexually assaulted and have to reconcile their victimhood with their white guilt if their assailant is an African American. The kid taking responsibility for his action was an unusual move.
