Did they just add literal ghosts / magic to the story with that old lady?
It just keeps getting dumber. I have to say at this point I'm actually impressed at the depths they are sinking this show down to.
I fast forwarded 2-3 minutes when they went to get their "son", because it was so painfully obvious that it wouldn't be him. This show is so predictably stupid.
This episode is 55 mins of snoozfest. No one cares about all the BS background of these characters. Let’s get on with Halo story already.
Everybody is the main character except the Master Chief.
Nobody ever reloads endless bullets and no suit. I don’t understand how this episode reached in the 70’s. I would say they will cancel after this season. Already needs a reboot. This episode is another waste of film.
Why did they change Cortana? Was it because in the first season she was CGI and now she's a real actress? Budget cut?
Anyway, I liked the first one better... Sigh!

Maybe I don’t like the show because I’m reading the books? The books are AMAZING, it blows my mind they didn’t just adapt them to the screen. Big loss, and too late to fix it. I mean the REAL fall of Reach, in the book, is a masterpiece.

It's OK. Tries to evoke emotions where there really are none most of the time.
Kwan's still boring and her arc (which seems to be important) feels so hollow right now. Halsey is so full of s*** you want to punch her in the face everytime she opens her mouth. There is zero character growth. Even her sadness and sympathy is faked. That woman isn't cabable of emotion.
It's also totally predictable. The boy not turning out to be Kessler and where Kai went could be seen in advance.
Visually though I think this is great.

The covenant has cortana!!! Wait cortana is in this? literally haven't seen the character since season 1 and the importance wasn't even shown then this is assuming people have played the game which is a bad idea for trying to make a show, it has to stand on its own to be popular.
Nobody cares about: Kwan, Kessel, Wig lady, Pirate boy who is learning emotions as an adult man.

This needs to die, I swear Paramount is spending more on advertising this show than they are on making it a good show.
I'm not even saying it needs to be all action all the time it doesn't, one of my favourite shows is better call Saul and that's like 90% setup, framing and character development. there's a way to get this right, it's like paramount looked at the golden age of TV and decided to do the absolute opposite of what those shows did.
Just a very average episode. :thinking:
Boring. I'm inches away from abandoning the show. The Kwan plot is terrible and unnecessary.
