The writing for this show is worse than what you find on those daytime soap opera shows. Dunno what changed from first season to this season. First season was decent. It's like the writers never played the game....

So what... no reg armor fits the Spartans? lol Everyone has some kind of armor on in this episode except the spartans who are only armed with a gun. Guess its spartan gear or nothing... lol. The director/producers/writers for this show, wtf man...

The writing on this episode was so bad that it's making me consider dropping the show entirely.
Once again, the script was so bad, an AI must have written it, right? ... right? No, wait, an AI would have come out with a more original story. So, this episode (season, show) was devised by a marketing manager and scripted by an AI, did I guess right? After all, why waste good money on actual writers? Who needs those anymore!
Goodbye show that is not Halo, although it is called Halo, that, God forbid, has not an ounce of science fiction in it (no, unfortunately a spaceship and a bunch of aliens are not enough for that), but is a badly written, would be profound, darkish, but also childishly comical, soap opera melodrama with some action sprinkled here and there.
I’m sorry for the actors, they have my sympathy.

This episode finally kept my eyes glued to my TV, dialogue, plenty of action, certainly some surprises, unexpected death

First problem for me is them taking out there chips to be more emotional idiots. All other comments I agree with but won’t repeat them. Lol oh yea. The regular army has amour but not master chief lol. They really should have called it something else because it isn’t “halo”. More like hallow script. Pfff

After some time has passed I decided to give this another chance for the sake of the first season I liked a lot.
Now, I don't care if this is true to Halo or not. Never played it. I care for a good show/story. Period ! It wasn't awful, in fact in was good enough for me to pick it up again. But I have to agree that there were some really weird moments and those new characters are bad. And where the story leads I really have no idea. For the moment, I'm game.
It was being an awesome episode, until that deus ex machina happenned in the end. Some lazy-ass writers in that team...

I still wish we'd had seen this much intense action throughout a whole damn episode with the Spartans properly suited up. I would happily throw a full fat 10 at this episode, had that been the case.

This show continues the success of this second season, and turns in what may be the best episode of the entire show so far. Some of the best stunt work and digital effects that the show has ever demonstrated. Tons of oners, both real and some tricky stitches.
The script is bad, no suits at all, but lots of action. One of the best episodes so far in the show. But pls we need MasterChief in his suit.

This season has gone from unexpectedly good (episode 1) to just damn good!
Not sure why some people are so bitter. If you want it to be exactly like the game, go watch the game.
Great writing. Great Action. You don’t have to have played Halo to understand this show. Even my wife loves it.
As of unanswered questions. It’s called a plot or storyline. Let’s see why cortana looks different perhaps later this season? Nothing wrong with leaving us wanting more.
