It's the first episode with my favorite D.I.! I used to be a total Richard girl until Neville showed up. This is maybe why I get absolutely livid over people's behavior towards him in the first few episodes he appears in because they treat him like an insane madman. But he never once exaggerates his ailments. You can't treat someone like a mad hypochondriac if he actually gets very sick by everything he says he will. Just because his physical state inconveniences you does not mean he's insane, and for y'all to literally endanger his life by ignoring and being so exasperated by him... If this were IRL, you'd be sued. As it was, my least favorite writer's room choice was to make his health the butt of the joke. If you're going to do that, at least make it actually funny, and not insanely dangerous and infuriating. As someone with a chronic illness that is not even a fraction of what this character is made to deal with, I absolutely hated everyone's behavior.
