The only thing I didn't like is the fact that Whistledown's identity was revealed ahead of time

Jonathan Bailey's Anthony Bridgerton gets better and better each episode. I can't wait for season two. He's utterly ferocious.

Didn't like the fact that they revealed Whistledon ahead of time either. Unless that was a throwaway to lure us audience members to speculate in a completely direction...

  • Sir Philip Crane is here!!!!
  • We got our Lady Whistledown reveal! I really didn’t expect them to reveal it so early on, but I think in the show it was somewhat obvious, while in the books it had me going back and forth between Penelope and Eloise. Perhaps the early reveal works better for how they planned upcoming seasons…
  • The resolution of Daphne and Simon’s conflict was meh, just like it was in the book. I really care so little for this couple…
  • I wonder who is the new character inheriting the Featherington estate..

SPOILERS ahead for non-book readers:

- Anthony mentioned his lucky mallet! I can’t wait to see the Pall Mall game in action!
- I wonder if Marina will carry her baby to term and whether she and Sir Philip will end up with a family of their own just like in the books..

Loved this, despite feeling reluctant at first. Didn't read the books, and the show doesn't inspire me to fill that gap at all.
I didn't like Daphne AT ALL, nor visually, nor as a person, and I'd wish I didn't have to witness all her moanings. And the chemistry with Simon was so-so, although he himself was quite alright regardless. I understand that the actor doesn't want to continue with the project. Can't blame him, the pairing was really off.
Still, I liked the concept, the writing, the music, and the staging overall, so I hope that the next season will be centered around other characters, mainly Anthony, Eloise, Benedict, and the Modiste. Oh, and the Queen, in her quest to unmask Lady Whistledown.
And hope we'll see the future of the Featherington clan and Marina, of course.

highkey wish she would have remained anonymous

Really enjoyed this show and now I can't wait for the next season. One thing though... please tell me I'm not alone in that the Whistledown identity reveal was no surprise at all. I mean, after the first episode it felt pretty obvious that it would be Penelope. Either way though, very excited to see how this unfolds and if Eloise released it already or will soon.

Ok as much as I LOVE Anthony and Kate together in the future, I can’t help but think Anthony and sienna are so cute together:sob:

I feel like like it would have been better to reveal Lady Whisteldown's identity in season 2 perhaps. But, let's see what happens next.

I'm so disappointed that a show with such an interesting premise turned out to be complete and utter trash. There are so many things wrong with this show that listing them all would take too much time. It's exhausting to watch a rape victim being blamed by everyone around him and the fact that the writers thought it a good idea for him to find his happy ending by forgiving his rapist and letting go of his wish to remain child free is absolutely disgusting. What kind of statement are they trying to tell by writing this? Why are they trying to teach their audience that such behaviour is ok? I truly thought we had come further than this. And then there's Marina. A woman who was taken advantage of by a man, gets slut shamed by everyone in every single episode, and ends up married to a stranger so her family will finally get rid of her. I truly do not understand how such stories can be told in this day and age without anyone in the production questioning it.
