[9.1/10] Really fun episode. The missing easter egg that stunk up the entire house/restaurant made for a great story engine, as the family (and Teddy’s) escalating efforts to find it led to more and more hilarity. Throwing in Bob and Linda’s competition to see who could hide the easter eggs the best, coupled with the necessity to find the egg ahead of the post-Lent “Beef Boom” also added stakes to the proceedings. And by the same token, I love the little flip that the kids kind of hate hunting for easter eggs, but keep up the charade for their mom and dad, with Tina speaking about Bob and Linda the same way parents would talk about doing this sort of silly thing for their kids.
There’s also lots of great humor. I’ll never not laugh at Teddy trying to insinuate himself into being a part of the family and overcommitting to everything. His having a jumpsuit for Bob and rushing to get the egg “into the ocean” was great. Little details like Bob and Linda’s goofy conversations ahead of drinking some jellybean schnapps, or Louise talking loudly despite her parents’ hangover, or Mr. Fischoeder’s weak cover for his announcement that he was going to a brothel were all very funny. And the resolution, that it was a raccoon who had nabbed the egg and taken it to her babies in the crawl space, made for a fun set piece.
Overall, it’s the sort of Bob’s Burgers episode that combines the best sort of mundane adventure and excitement with the show’s usual offbeat weirdness and humor. An excellent watch.
i lost the year 1996 to schnapps.
Watching this for Easter instead of going to church.

That wall thing was a nice shoutout to season 1's episode when Linda's parents came to visit.
