Your favorite shows & movies
If you only had 50 shows and movies to bring with you on a deserted island (with a sweet 4K home theater), what would they be? Keep this question in mind when building your favorites on the Trakt website and mobile apps.
Look for the orange stars.
Add shows and movies to your favorites by clicking an orange star. You’ll see these buttons on every summary page and in most grid views throughout the Trakt website and mobile apps.
Why did you favorite this?
After adding something to your favorites, we’ll ask why? This note helps others understand why this show or movie made your top 50 of all time. These notes will show up on your profile and mobile apps too.
How do we use favorites?
Favorites are featured on your Trakt website profile and will soon be in the mobile apps. By default, the top 3 items are displayed. If you edit the default sorting on your favorites list, your profile will update accordingly.
To keep your profile fresh, try using random as the default sorting.
We use favorites to power Trakt social recommendations, which you see on the website dashboard and home tab of the mobile apps. Hover over an avatar to see why it was favorited.
Discover new things to watch with the most favorited shows and movies. VIP members can apply advanced filters and adjust the time period and a bunch of other things.
Removing a favorite.
Since you only have 50, you might need to remove a favorite to make room for something else. Click the orange star again and it removes it from your favorites. You can also manage your favorites list like any other list.
