not as great as the last two seasons but all the episode of season 3 has lots of suprises and murders ,all the episodes were great but the ending wasn't so what was being expected. rip love.
One of the rare shows that just gets better and better...
I still enjoyed this as I love the show. But honestly it’s the weakest season so far.
the beginning and the ending of this season was great, however I was getting bored watching them making the same mistakes all over again. Solid season, not the best tho
Chaotic season but enjoyable overall
Joe in this season is my least favorite version of him
he felt like he was dumbed down by the writers unlike season 1 & 2
Love was great in this season her stupid and impulsive actions made this season more thrilling
All the side characters were great especially the Conrad's LOL, I hated them at first but I eventually grew to love them by the season finale
Existed for season 4
I wish I know what wrong is with Victoria that she always ends up dead, Netflix gives her a break.
Overall, You S3 is still You. It still contains the suspense and the backstabbing and the quirky, yet relatable inner monologues of Joe that we've known to love from the other 2 seasons. What makes this season, apart from how plasticy gross the community of Madre Linda is, hard to watch is Love. This season deviates from the pattern of the other two seasons because here, a lot of what's going on is because Love is insane, and Joe covering up for her. The "chase" of the next "you" is sidelined and almost not important until the ending. I did appreciate that in one episode we get Love's inner monologue, being that she is the real main character of this season and Joe is a participant. I guess that's why until the ending, this season felt off and fell off. And the worst part? We know Joe is a bad guy, but trying to be good. Love is straight up a bad person, unlikeable in fact. She cheats on Joe, kills people, and tries to blame it all on Joe and their marriage. It's hard to like a character like that, where Joe still tries to provide for Ellie from S2 and frees Theo. That's why, the ending felt like it returned to form, with Joe doing a proper killing with meticulous planning and some sacrifice. I guess the problem with this season is that Joe takes a backseat with Madre Linda and Love being the main drivers of the plot. Also, a lot of people hate cheating...so both Joe and Love are a-holes. Good characters: Cary, Matthew, and maybe Theo (but his actor had several cringey performances).
Another thing that wasn't right in this season was the "clues". Like in S1, Joe left a piss pot in Peach's house and it was hinted that would stab him in the back. There wasn't much of that here, in fact everything had a clean ending. The biggest thing that would've outted Joe and Love was Matthew's surveillance, but that was wiped out immediately. So no one was close to cracking the case, and Theo was basically ignored about his revelation.
I'm not really sure if I'm okay with S4 being produced, since he's in France and I can already see him commenting on how he can't drive on the wrong side of the road or speak the language properly - and other France related quips. But I will watch since You has been very unique compared to the other forms of media I watch. One thing though, what is it with Netflix and season 3s of shows? Sex Education S3 also fell off a bit but is also renewed for a fourth season.
Season is entertaining enough, but it's definitely weaker than the first two seasons. It's just too much of the same stuff over and over again, it's starting to get really stale.
The seasons are starting to follow a formula now, which worked wonderfully in Season 1, seemed to stall a bit in Season 2, and now really ran in place in Season 3. Unfortunately I can't see this show going on much longer at this rate because it's seeming less and less like they know the direction they're going and more like they're just trying to re-do what worked so well in the beginning without evolving the story much in the process.
I love the weird balance between Joe and Love that the writer created when it comes to who's right and who's wrong. I don't hate Joe for killing Love, but I felt a little bit sad when Love was killed. Overall, the show is enjoyable, and I got excited watching this which is rarely happened when I watched other shows.
Apart from the boring librarian character - one of the best show seasons I've seen throughout the last few years.
Uh oh. They committed one of the cardinal sins of tv shows with limited scope. One season too many. Season One exceeded expectations. Season Two was more of season one, just a different girl. Season Three? Ruined the memory of really enjoying Season One.
Wow! This season was truly fantastic, fast-paced and enjoyable to watch. I hope he doesn't find Marienne, like ever. But I think the next season we will have to see her tackle Joe and his insanity. It's a shame, she is such an awesome character that I don't want her to die. This is inevitable because every girl Joe thinks is "the one" ends up dead. Tortured, then dead. Love's death was predictable. It was looming since last season just got delayed with the baby and all. Also love it that Joe decided on giving Henry to Dante and his husband. That was a super nice thing to do. They deserve a child in their lives. Joe does have a decent heart, not gonna lie he does make it difficult to completely like him or hate him. I hated the Conrads too, but in the end, they do grow on you. Good thing they survived.
Joe is just not gonna stop until he is killed... maybe? But I don't think Marienne is gonna be the one doing it. Unless she does comes back to her stern senses, that motherly instinct kicks in and I hope she is just insane enough to kill Joe.
And I think we are gonna see more of his mother? Because she moved on and started a new family it seems. I mean she chose a new start without him. I'm sure the older Joe got he still kept tabs on her and maybe just maybe he killed his mother????? And or the family?? Maybe the child??? Idk. I would like to know what happened to her. Did he even care later on? And the nurse... She dead..? Her bf killed her? Idk.
Can't wait for the next season!
I loved last season, and I was soooo excited for this season, but it was such a mess. I mean there were so many things they could have done with Love and Joe, I mean a serial killer couple sounded so amazing. Instead, it was a hot mess of cheating and being married, and new parents is awful. The end. And I guess I was wrong, I thought Joe's obsessing was legit, but apparently it's fleeting.
the only thing to me that doesn't make sense is talk about the pandemic. not that they shouldn't have dialogue on it as Joe does everything, but the timeline doesn't make sense. if Love was pregnant the end season 2, 9 months later the baby is born. within 9 months the pandemic started and ended ...?
good season though. not sure how much longer they can continue, but a new background such as paris will be nice
This show is simply brilliant!
To me, this was perhaps the best season of You so far. I didn't know what to expect and previously thought that the series had already run its course, but they could actually bring something new and sometimes unexpected to the table. Yes, this was different than the first two seasons, but I welcome this change as otherwise Joe's "adventures" could have been much boring and more repetitive (not in terms of his patterns lol, that's still there, naturally). I also liked (Loved - pun intended) the ending and feel like they wrapped this up nicely. I'm not sure there's a need for Season 4, but I didn't think there was for a third one either, so we'll see how this goes. I would love to see him apprehended already, though. It is kind of annoying that he gets away with everything.
While the first episodes were stellar, it kinda lost a bit of its magic. Season 4 yay!

Season 3 had a lot of potential. Unfortunately Netflix decided to push their woke politics hard with this one, totally destroying the immersion. Another show sacrificed on the altar of wokeness.
