This show is great & amazing scenery. Makes me want to visit Montana.
Enjoyed the first episode very much. The show to me is blend of Dallas and Bonanza.
Arguably the best show we currently watch. If Paramount wants to make a name for itself with a flagship original drama, they chose well. Season one was great. Somehow, season two has surpassed it (and I can say that with confidence the week before the season finale airs). Well written, well acted, and has me edge of my seat every single week.
Some hard-care right-wing revisionist propaganda. Poor oligarch rancher-victim and Indians who steal cattle. That said, I'm not halfway through season one and I don't how many bodies they've piled up. It's worth a watch but it's clearly got an agenda.
Just an overly violent show about a bunch of predictable and horrible one-dimensional characters where the suspension of reality is constantly needed to push the story along. If Tim McGraw's Dutton knew this was how his offspring would turn out he'd have ended the family line in 1883.
Another take. It's like Dallas but with no one as likeable as Patrick Duffy.
Excellent show! Make it longer!
Considering I am from Montana this show is extremely fake
But it is very good entertainment and I love watching it
the one star is for season's 4 and 5 which is just downright lazy. cut scenes to Taylor Sheridons $347 million 6666 ranch that make no sense and are as dry as the desert. cut scenes to country music and cowboys working that is equally lazy.
watch the first few seasons and enjoy but you will see a lazy transition
While the story becomes increasingly unbelievable, it's wildly entertaining! There's no political agenda, nothing SJW, it's just a show and it entertains on its own merit rather than virtual signaling its way to your hearts. I'm actually a recent convert, I had watched the first few episodes and thought it was OK but I hadn't watched enough to really see the characters develop. After watching 1883 (the best western miniseries since Lonesome Dove by the way) I had to try Yellowstone again. I'm glad I did, because I binge watched every episode and am now impatiently awaiting the next season. This is an excellent show with excellent acting. Sure, the story of ranchers being under siege pretty much 24/7 seems outlandish, but that's only about 1/3 of the show - the rest is life as a cowboy and ranch owner.
It's kind of like Dallas from the 80's, but as a western with much more bad-assery than most shows could dream of.
This show is borderlining on too cringy ever since MTV took over (season 4 and onwards)..
Lol me too signaling every 10 minutes in season 5. Strong women acting like cowboys. Another Hollywood disaster. OK OK we got it. Beth and rest of women in Yellowstone run the world. No need to set corny woman beats man line reminder to every 10 minutes.... "Say yes ma'am" ROFL.
This was a great show but season 5 is a bust. Why? Because every episode is 5 maybe 6 minutes of story telling and the balance is a country music video. A real disappointment.
Monica is a self-righteous idiot who contributes nothing to the show. She's almost died multiple times, just kill her off already.
First 2 episodes very slow you will possibly think why am l watching this ,after 2nd episode it’s a great watch
This has been one of my favorites shows. The story, the sceneries and the actors, all amazing.
A must watch imho.
If you like Succession from HBO this show is similar to that but the setting is base on the ranch. Logan's family meets cowboy and it lacks cousin Greg which is a fan favorite for that show. But Jimmy can make up for that.
The stranger thing about these two shows is they premiered in the same month in June 2018.
This is a great show, well done and great scenery.
you can definitely feel the ambitious of the Paramount
Note to hollyweird - THIS is how you do a show with NO virtue signaling, NO SJW-Preaching, & NO agenda prompting. Just a great show with a great cast and awesome storytelling for entertainment value, period! If only all of hollyweird could/would GET this simple concept.
Tyler Sheridan just keeps bringing in the hits. His Urban-Western storytelling is on fire right now.
first kevin costner one of best actors ever. plus cole hauser and luke grimes great. and kelly riley is amazing as beth.i honestly believe it is the best show on television. and yes im a big western fan and i wish they would make more now days.but this show is much more than a modern day western.i think everyone should watch it
Love this show... Entertaining and especially the scenery, wow. But in a way also kind of depressing tho... I really wished that kind of scenery was where i live, it's amazing. I would never be indoors, haha. ;-)
The bomb episode / shoot out / Kayce calling his wifey saying “ get out the fkn house” was toooo suspenseful.. loved it
I absolutely love this show! But, I have yet come to love "Monica Dutton's" Character. Her character is just too good for everything in any sense. Sometimes she just ruins the scene for me. I love all the other characters & wish there was more time to have them all in as many scenes as possible. Beautiful horses, land, & more!!! Great job everyone!
The show gets more amazing each season. Sure season 3 is a slow burn but that’s what makes it great. And I hate slow shows, as you can probably see from my comments on other shows. But this show doesn’t feel like it’s dragging me down.
Cant believe i didnt start watching this when it was first aired, brilliant show and now im on to season two!
This is and has been the best show on tv,and the spin off 1883 was top notch and I imagine the new prequel will be another top class show, especially looking at the superstar cast they have for it.
Dante-Season 4 episodes 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10
This is a great show. It's certainly better than "good" and I want to explore why I hesitate to call it "superb."
Perfect casting. No character, briefly on the scene or otherwise feels wasted, but perhaps occasionally under-utilized. One of my biggest gripes for many series is arbitrary "complexity" where a solid plot would more than suffice. This doesn't bog you down in time-killing side babble. Sub-plots more or less weave into the narrative to keep you guessing how or if they'll interfere. The series takes time to breathe and lets you get a feel of the many things in the wind without overwhelming you.
It does a solid job balancing violence. It's not wanton. It's not really celebrated as "cool" as much as a necessary and perpetual tool to an otherwise hostile or ambivalent life. It might stretch the imagination a bit with how much some of them can get away with, but then, that's TV.
It moves. Part of what helps keep you immersed is that you are along for a ride with consistently spaced, if somewhat predictable bumps. Some of the music choices to accompany scenes don't make a lick of sense to me, but if someone wanted to paint broadly with "country," as a not-fan of country, had I not been reading the captioned lyrics, I suspect I wouldn't otherwise notice.
Costner's character and sage-adjacent relationship to everyone he encounters can get a touch exasperating, but I've been marathoning. Kelly Reilly is in a class unto herself. I wish more of Kaycee and Monica's relationship was sussed out through more than chronic silence and secrets. There's certainly worlds of trauma served all around, but some special kind of hell is playing out there which could be mined for more, especially with respect to their kid.
There's also a mild "every bad guy is the same" kind of thing going on a bit too. I'm thinking "Billions" where either the billionaire is gonna get the other billionaire's billions, or not, but surely there's gonna be a series of privileged micro existential crises every 10 minutes. Yellowstone isn't so melodramatic, but at some point you'd like to believe it feels good to be rich in such coveted land and positions of power. Is it always gambling? Is every decision and road forced upon you until you can draw the harshest lessons? Or is this a selfish playground where everything must be sacrificed eventually?
It's not really evolving the narrative of violence, the ambivalence of life, or the work of those drawn to tame it or drift through it. It's got its sights set on cliche truisms regarding the Wild West and country values that certainly break apart the second the wrong fence line is crossed. Come to think of it, it's curious that the only religion represented is the Native American's given the whole "manifest destiny" thing that underpins the seizure of their land, but again, the plot needs to move and it's not trying to make you think too hard, right? Why wedge crosses in there?
It's great in what it does, it just does a handful of things you'll come to expect from any series that's going to try and carry a network and not take the kind of risks to push or transcend the medium. The writing at least won't make you wince, but it isn't asking you to tune in to every word. You do root for the characters, big and small, and it is definitely a compellingly built world. So, cool enough. It got me sitting here for the last 3 days or so, even if I never felt the need to slow it from 1.5 the speed.
I love the show and the views beautiful country. Kevin Costner us right up there next to Clint Eastwood!!!:heart::heart:
with season 3 drawing to a close I find I am enjoying it more than ever. Fantastic show. One of Kevin Costner's better ones.
One of the better shows I go out of my way to watch and now I'm bummed it's been cancelled. I hope we get at least another 8 episodes and pray it gets a well deserved finale. The only thing now to look forward to, is that there will be spin-off shows...
First two seasons are awesome, 9/10 with chapters 10/10. I think it is in season 3 when the show turns into a mix of a country videoclip and a natural park advertising made of panoramic views (6/10). Don’t even bother with season 5 if you don’t like the videoclip part.
i really never heard before .but now i heard some advertising sht...i downloaded it and i m now in season 3 in 2 days i have no life for sure hehe ..and costner is amazing i like his movie i forgot the title...it was about he and his family going to mexico because he hit a boy in baseball i think.
Love the cowboys and some of the characters but good lord, kinda hoping the dutton family dies (except for Kayce).
BORING BORING SHOW. ITS FOR 70 year olds. Overhyped and Lazy writing. Nothing blew my mind. Please put the money towards a better film. The industry is dying and yall wasting precious time and money.
Does anyone know if Yellowstone Season 6 will be coming out soon?
Yellowstone is like the Midwest on steroids. It's big, bold, and full of drama. Just like the cornfields stretch for miles, so does the intensity of the show. From the moment you start watching, you'll be hooked. Trust me, cancel all your plans because you won't want to miss a single episode.
The characters in Yellowstone are like the Midwest folks you know and love, but with a twist. They're tough, resilient, and not afraid to get their hands dirty. And boy, do they know how to stir up some trouble. The power struggles and family feuds will keep you on the edge of your seat, wondering what will happen next.
But it's not all drama and chaos. Yellowstone also captures the beauty of the Midwest, just like a breathtaking sunset over the prairie. The stunning landscapes and wide-open spaces will make you want to pack your bags and head straight to Montana. It's a visual feast that perfectly complements the gripping storyline.
So, grab some popcorn, settle in, and get ready for a wild ride. Yellowstone is the TV show you didn't know you needed, but now you won't be able to live without. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. It's like the Midwest, but with a whole lot more excitement and a dash of humor. Don't miss out on this epic adventure.
What a freaking amazing show!! It has you gripped from start to finish like I am sad when an episode is finished!!!! LOVE IT!!!
Amazing that they apparently accept the murder of people and take them to the "train station"
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS SHOW OMG HANGING ON EVERY EPISODE!!!!
I love this show. My wife and I had so much fun watching it. I really wish Hollywood would make more material like this, but unfortunately they’re more interested in pushing their agenda. This show has a tiny bit of wokeness in it, but for the most part they did a good job at keeping it out.
What the hell did Jamie do!??? Did he rape his mother and Beth is his daughter? What's with all the hate!? (ending season 2)
One of the best drama actions on TV currently. It has everything from romance to bloodshed to dark humor as this show follows a man and his family who own the largest piece of real estate in the state of Montana and how they attempt to fend off every foe that comes to try to take it, all the meanwhile battling internal family battles. The casting and acting is legendary so much so that it makes these characters being brought to life ground breaking.
Still one of the best shows on tv after five seasons, and hopefully another five to come.
Hello dear, this is the Drama and Western masterpiece you've been looking for. A better show on TV now you can cling on. Damn! I can't think of any other better show at the moment. Season 5 so far is like fire, ain't no joke. I mean it! Taylor really deserves 10 stars
Never a big Kevin Costner fan never a big Kevin Costner fan but let me tell you something John Dutton for governor best show on TV I yeah yeah
Only a few days till the return of one of the best shows in the last ten years.Yellowstone has not had a bad episode or season yet and I don't imagine season five will be any different. Also have Tulsa King this week to look forward to watching.Yeeha...
If Don Corleone was a cowboy and lived in Montana :cowboy:
Oh boy. John Duttons Character is so determined to the old ways. It’s stupid. At one point he said:
Only two ways to run a Ranch.
Horse or Cow.
I really want to show this guy how we do agriculture in Europe. It’s ridiculous: all this land wasting away so this patriarch can keep living in the past.
Btw. a trained Shepherd dog is much more effective than those wannabe cowboy clowns.
If you’re into shallow cowboy wannabes you can turn off your brain and check out some horsies.
Some good acting below all that cheesy posing.
1 episode in I wanted to give this a 10. Now 8 episodes wishing I could change the scale and give it a 1000.
Masterful performances, compelling stories weaved with exceptional storytelling. I was never a Costner fan, but man oh man is he, and everyone else incredible.
I would put this on par with Godless and Breaking Bad as my favs of all time.
murdering bunch, corrupted family, politicians
As a Texan, I have grown to love this show. It does remind me of my youth learning and working with horses. I had 3 uncle's that taught me everything (my dad was not a hunter or a horseman) but I loved him allot.
man Taylor Sheridan is just an unstoppable writing force up to this point in his relatively short career. he definitely knows well enough what hooks, and i tend to think that relatively simple and straightforward characters and story arcs are the root of it all. have extreme versions of the types of characters being represented while avoiding forced and overt socially conscious propaganda. just classic over the top drama against a beautiful back drop with acting to match.
One really good written show. Original, bold, just awesome. 9/10
Really a great show once you can look past the sometimes overdone violence. But the underlying themes are love and loyalty and how far would you go for it. It's so well written and acted. Great storylines with twist and turns that pay off. I love a show that's unpredictable and gives me a lot to think about. I wouldn't keep any of these people in my inner circle but they sure are entertaining to watch.
This season finale was just a waste in my opinion. Very disappointed. Maybe it will lead to something better next season.
Brilliant show well worth a watch , give it 9/10
One of the best; if not THE best; shows on TV right now. Character-Driven with excellent casting. It can get a little PSA, agenda heavy at times but it's kept to a minimum (which is saying something in this day and age of #WOKE & #MeToo). I enjoyed season 2 just as much as I did season 1 and I can't wait for season 3. Taylor Sheridan is a MASTER storyteller.
Great show loved both seasons and love to see kevin Costner on TV great actor
okay so let's start by saying I fucking love this show and this new season it has only gotten better now for the review this has got to be one of the best westerns since Deadwood there is so much action the acting is finominal and the pace is very nice and fast Kevin Costner is a very convincing rancher and father to adult children and grandchildren this is one of the best shows you can find in my opinion however if you don't like sexual content or foul language then you need to skip this show entirely but if you are adult enough to handle the content of the program you'll for sure have a very nice time watching this program and will enjoy every single minute of in your face drama and action to the core and fun
Man i love this show.......
Love it!!!! A definite must watch.

Absolutely hilarious to me that the very goofy super entertaining openly melodramatic cowboy soap opera has become a culture war talking point for the kind of insufferably tedious people that spend all their time on Twitter virtue signaling about how much they hate virtue signaling instead of spending time with their grandkids or something.
Yellowstone is purely ridiculous in its plotting, completely removed from the reality of modern ranching in a microcosm and 'western' politics as a macrocosm, and incredibly fun because of it - especially Kelly Reilly and Wes Bentley who 100% realize what kind of show they are in and what kind of performances it needs - but good lord, the absolute irony of its most ardent and passionate fanboys who take it way too seriously being the kind of fake cowboys that the show itself considers its internal enemy is so delicious that it actually makes the show better in of itself. Newsflash, if you think Yellowstone is owning the libs or whatever I can guarantee you are closer to the try hard out of towners in the valley desperate for 'authenticity' and cosplaying in their cowboy hats than you are to the Duttons, the same way most people who think they are Ricks are really Jerrys.
The first three seasons are all good and get better the more over the top they get, but season four seems to be running out of steam, most likely because almost half of the running time was used as backdoor pilots for at least three spin offs which we all know is the signal of a show stretched too thin, but as long as they resist some of the more obvious pitfalls due to it catapulting into the mass audience it should stay solid.
For fans of Deadwood, Slim Cessna's Auto Club, and Passions.
