Watched 3 episodes and it just got dumber and dumber.
Not only that, but no one is actually paying attention to details in the filming of it. Here's a couple of examples..
1. She's at the pool with her daughter. she's wearing a grey/white T-shirt. She leaves and gets into her car. She arrives at the destination wearing a yellow top and yellow jeans - huh?
2. Twice she tracks somebody down using her mobile phone - it shows us her doing it. How does she track someone she doesn't know? does everyone in Barcelona have a chip embedded that anyone can use to keep track of them?
3. She goes to meet somebody but parks literally 2 miles away. She stuffs a gun in her waistband but we never see it until she needs it then it appears again
4. She plays a game of tennis - doesn't sweat at all. Walks away and her mobile phone just appears in her hand!!
5. Someone shoots out her rear window and she drives to her destination.. with the window in tact
6. She runs away from the bad guys who jump into their Range Rovers and pursue her only to appear from two different directions to block her!!!
I could go on, but you get the picture.
1/10
I enjoyed this series, lot's of mixed action. Overall, worth a watch :thumbsup_tone1:
I think netflix has just gave up after its majestic start(so they thought).
At least they drop the "a netflic orignal show" line from their intro.
Here we have another it is a verb now "Netflix Show" this means you can write an exam while watching it, still pass the exam and still be able to understand anything from the show. Lines overused, dialogous written by AI probably, so so so many continuity mistakes, so unoriginal story.
They do not even bother to create a poster, the get a screenshot from an episode and paste the "N" logo using GIMP.
SOooooo very stupid. Professional mobsters would never. Police would never!
This started off OK and had the potential to be decent but it turned out to be a bit of drag. The cast is OK (ish) but the script and the acting is pretty 3rd rate. In particular Erin’s kid (Watson) seems to be a far better actor than her mum (Ahmad) the lead.
The whole time the show portrays Erin as not being all she seems, hinting at a more sinister, possibly violent past that is the cause of her problems in the show. The problem is even after a full 3 episodes in we still have NO IDEA as to what that past is or what the whole story emanates from. It just drags. The backstory starts to kick in in episode 4, it’s very far fetched with way too much talkin’ tough, the acting also drops off a cliff at this point too, especially from wannabe cool DI Armstrong (Bamber) who seems like he’s desperately trying to improve his ranking from being 375th in line in Broccoli’s choice of actors to play James Bond, he fails miserably. While the show overall improves to be passable from episode 4 or 5 the cheese gets dialled up to level 9, what with the philosopher crime boss and 'sisters doing it for themselves' and the inevitable dumb character decisions (pick up the gun FFS!).
The rest of it is just a neighbour / school dispute drama interspersed with brief flashes of action where Erin gets to be a bit of a bad ass but not particularly good at whatever it is she used to do.
A passable 4/10 at a push but really nothing special and I can very much understand the lousy reviews.
The storyline was good but pretty basic. I think the main thing that let this down was some of the acting as it came across dry. There was one point where I thought that I was watching a show that was dubbed in English rather than a show that was filmed originally in English..
really bad, could've been good but yeah just not into the characters or story
:heart:x8
This is a great limited series. It starts out all innocent and then we meet the real Erin Carter. Slowly we get to know her better and better who she is, and what drives her. She definitely has "...a certain set of skills..." and she knows how to use them. The story unfolds in layers and there are a couple of surprises that even I did not see coming, and at least one of them I should have seen coming.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!

So … who wrote this? I’ve finished watching the entire show, because yeah I’m that kind of masochist, and it was like watching a really bad game of Tetris. They were randomly throwing in different ideas, like Tetris blocks, trying to see how they fit into the story. Emphasis on randomly. And if they didn’t fit, they just tried a different shape until it all became a pile of ………
