04x03 - Jinx: 7.2/10 (Good, It Gets the Job Done)
So far, so good. While the show has reverted to some of its old ways, it has made some attempts to address lingering issues. Namely, balanced screen time and narrative presence for all the characters. The reuse of the "lost power" card isn't something I'm really pleased with, but it's not a significant concern if it means we'll get something fresh this time around. I enjoyed "Lisa Ambalavanar’s" portrayal of "Jinx", and I look forward to seeing more of her in future episodes. As for the story, we're still gradually unveiling the mystery three episodes in; here's hoping they can finally nail the payoff.

Great more characters with no background. I guess you need a PhD in DC comics world to follow this show.
I finally recognized Franka Potente from The Princess and The Warrior, and then saw she was the same person in Bourne... I'm so slow apparently.
After 2 strong episodes, this one gives a hint that they might fall in their old ways of doing things. Starfire and BeastBoy/Raven having a different story line worries me. Not because it wasn't well done but because the previous seasons they werent well done. still it's early to say how it will turn out but I'm being confident that it will be well handled.
Please let there be a way for Jinx to keep bringing that playful energy to all her scenes. Several bold choices by the director made this episode really stand out.

Why is it that Raven had to hold Gar's hand to see what he was seeing and continued to do so as they were walking, but once they got to the tree, they weren't but she could still see everything? Did they screw that up? Because it contradicts that concept.
