Jason Todd in the comics is a cocky, self-centered, violent robin with a sarcastic attitude. They nailed this one. Just a bit older than you would want from the comics. Like the Titans.
Decent filler episode. It was nice to actually see Jason Todd fleshed out in live action. He's just as cocky, violent, and brutal as he was written in the comics. I was hoping the episode would end with Dick calling Bruce.
I don't get why people hate Jason Todd. He was fantastic in this episode.
To me Jason just seems like a giant dick. He's way more of a dick than Dick. The cocky no respect bastard needs an attitude adjustment.
While it was nice to get the Robin low down, it kept us away from the Titans story.
In this episode we got two Robins, but only one of them was both the dick and the asshole. Gotta love the spunk of the new kid, but he's a lot of trouble. Old Robin better keep him in check (in case Batman himself won't be around for that). The fighting scenes seem to be scarce in this show, but they are way above average (eat your heart out, Daredevil!), and Jason Todd just showed that to us.
I'd like to see more of the Titans working together, as a team (they aren't even a team, yet, currently they're just hanging out together). I understand they wanted to focus more on Robin(s) in this episode (and it was great!) , but I hope the whole gang will get in on the action next week.
Filler or not, it was another solid episode!
This was good episode but I'm feeling forces to finished this series. I ain't enjoying at all. In this episode, I really liked Jason Todd. They nailed nos personality, mailing him cocking and violent. This how Jason is suppose to be unlike Dick Grayson in this show. I appreciated to see more of Batman's lore and Dick's past, but I felt that this episode was unnecessary. This is a show about Titans and not about Batman. Now I'm interested to watch a Batfamily show than a Titans show. And this wasn't supposed to happen. The violence was well place in this episode with Jason. Jason is unstable, not Dick. The rest of Titans was useless. Overall, I like this episode because I'm great Batman fan and I loved to see3he Batman's mithology, but this is supposed to be a Titans show. I would really enjoy if they focus from now on in the team, making them bonding and fighting together like the past episode. As a fan of Titans, I'm not pleased and hope this show improves in the next episode. I don't want watch this show as obligation.
I don't know anything this is supposed to be based on but I love the dark angle this all has. Back in my time superheroes were goody-two-shoes. I didn't mind that back then but nowadays those characters appear more human when they are flawed. Much more interesting
I love how they keep playing that music reminiscent of the score of The Dark Knight anytime Batman is mentioned. I also liked the bat ears on the tower.
The Netflix description for this episode says "... a trip to Milwaukee sheds some light on a dark chapter from Dick's past" as if not literally all chapters of his past so far have been dark. Though I suppose going full look down and whisper "No." especially qualifies. Though it does feel like a bit of a cop-out that Robin did not actually kill the guy but rather just didn't help him. I mean, this show has shown him kill people, right? Or is this that weird superhero trope where if you ram a gun part into someone's throat, they can reasonably expect to live?
Either way, this show is so good one moment and then a single line of dialogue just makes me laugh out loud. I mean, guy starts off strong, telling the story of how Dick's revenge led to more bloodshed and death. Absolutely great delivery on "So, the Maronis came after my mother. And my sister. And my fiancée." And then - "They all melted." Excuse me?? Not "burned." Not "died in agony." They. All. Melted. Christ, who writes this stuff?
This and the first two episodes have been the best so far. It seems the show is at its finest when Dick, not Raven is at the center of it
i like when he just pops up for help! it brings a smile on my face.
Still don't get why this episode is named Jason Todd... Besides that it did felt like a good episode; runner for best of the series but the awful cgi and weird, very weird direction and lightning kind of take you off of the experience.
7-/10
So far, I like Jason aka new Robin.
