Dammit, you did it again! Nicky's storyline serves as a reminder of how close Jack came to following in his father's footsteps. It makes him all the more heroic for breaking the cycle. Too bad at the same time he kinda failed his brother - I mean, there's only so much a person can do, sure, but he didn't push enough; Rebecca summarized it well while recognizing her own guilt.
