What a great episode! Stellar ending.
That was pretty damn awesome at the end. Wow! Now I want to read the books over again.
Great episode. Things are coming together nicely. Great end scene.:thumbsup_tone1::thumbsup_tone1:
It’s getting interesting at last.
Poor Harald can never enjoy a win. Also, what if all the Dragon wanted was to create a world full of crossovers of all his favorite shows?
I kinda anticipated that Mat and Rand would run into more trouble soon but still, damn, that was harsh.
Perry reminds me more and more of Jon Snow.Talks the same way and he is equally boring.
Fantastic episode. It feels like a lot of the storytelling and foreshadowing thus far is culminating into one big event. The storyline is starting to come together, conversations about the dragon and the one power's corruption in men are all coming together in this one episode tying it all together.
There were sad and exciting elements to the episode and the end left off in the good kind of cliffhanger that makes me excited for the next.
Great episode.
This episode is much better than the previous ones, it seems the best one so far, with a lot of events and tension and fewer boring moments. The most interesting parts seem to be the ones connected with the false Dragon (played by Profesor from Casa de Papel) and his backstory, he is a rather convincing and intriguing character, not a one-dimensional evil madman but someone with a complicated story, he is capable of winning supporters by showing them kindness and believes that he can change the world for the better. In the episode, we have a closer look into the world of the magic of Aes Sedai and their relationships with their warders, Aes Sedai of different "houses" are shown so there is a lot of world-building in this one. Also, the affection between Lan and Nynaeve develops and grows, and they become more and more attached to each other, seeking their company (though maybe none of them would confess to what they really feel). There is a battle in which we can witness more Aes Sedai magic in action, and the special effects look quite good, as well as these used by the false Dragon. The biggest reveal in this episode is that Nynaeve is a channeller and a pretty powerful one, as she heals all injured people and manages to stop the dragon, as well as that she loves Lan as she uses the power she hasn't been even aware of in order to save him.
So much happens in the plot of Moraine, Lan and Nynaeve that the stories of Egwene & Perrin and Rand, Mat and Thom pale a bit in comparison, though these are also improved in contrast to what was on the show before. Unfortunately, Perrin keeps the boring pained expression almost all the time (he smiles only once) which makes him rather a flat protagonist and the least interesting of the three boys. There is also some worldbuilding in Perrin and Egwene's story as they get introduced into the beliefs of the Way of the Leaf and its total objection to violence, even in self-defence. The leader of the Tinkers tells Perrin the story of her daughter, which makes her a more relatable character. Analogous thing happens with Rand when Thom tells him the story of his nephew Owyn, who was gentled by the Aes Sedai, mistakenly thinking that Mat's behaviour which is due to the cursed dagger is caused by the fact that Mat can channel. This may lead to complications as Thom warns the boys to avoid the Aes Sedai so that Mat would not suffer the same fate, but if they do so, they would not be reunited with their friends. Thom is much more convincing character now that he does not sing. In the end of this storyline, it seems that Thom is killed as he tries to fight a fade on his own, telling the boys to escape, though from what I recall in the books, he survives. It may be different in the show though.
This was some pretty good shit. Even the CGI One Power was less annoying and bad in this episode (for the most part).
I'm stopping here. I watched 15 minutes but I really can't be bothered anymore. The show is boring and the characters are also boring. I see this episode has the best rating yet, but I just can't get through it without losing interest.
Feels to good to predict something correctly in a tv show for once :joy:.
I did not expect to like this as much as I do. Outside of Rosamund Pike’s unconvincing acting and even worse wig I really enjoy the casting and performances. Oh and to those who keep saying “it’s not exactly like the books”. What did you read? There is so much of this that’s from the books and sparking fond memories I have of reading them.
What a bullshit episode! The plot has only a fraction to do with the books!
Never thought this will be so good! Almost flawless!
I'm happy for the once enjoying the show, but you must not have read the books recently or ever, because this is way way off to me. I just listened to the books, haven forgotten the series was being made. I was SO excited to see it (Amazon having an endless coffin), but wow! This is so different already and not in a good way. This makes me so sad, because my hopes where really high. Maybe that's me problem. I wonder if fans of The Game of Thrones felt the same way. I haven't read the books, but loved the series. Well... Sigh. Maybe it'll get better.
Why the f*k didn't they removed his Power earlier and waited for the convenient moment that Nynaeve would reveal her power to do so?
That makes literally no sense at all. Especially if you take in account the f*king pilot where they already introduced their ability to remove other channaler's power.
That was pretty lazy. I hope the series doesn't have much more of that, more than it already has anyway.

I don't think I've ever been left this speechless by a show before, what a climax, wow!!
