I have an idea. Why don't we forget about entitled Catherine and her dumb, useless ladies and sail off to Spain with her sister?
I mean, yet again we have another Brit failing at pretending to be Spanish, but her character was so interesting. Joanna is a perfect antihero. She's kinda evil but you can't help rooting for her. Plus, her life sounds so interesting. An atheist Spanish princess born to the most devoutly catholic monarch ever (to the point that her mother tried torturing the catholic faith into her). A woman struggling to claim her power in a male dominated world (her father and husband plotted the steal her throne and keep her out of power). A possibility of mental health issues in a time when that wasn't really a thing. Her story was very rich and complex.
As things are this show has gotten SOOO boring. How many episodes has it been since Arthur died? And nothing else has happened. The main plot is so stagnant. And all the side plots are so dull and uninteresting (are we seriously expected to care what happens to Catherine's ladies? They're so one dimensional, they don't even feel like real people).
The only one who still manages to catch my interest is Maggie, because I feel so bad for her. She can't catch a break, poor thing. Damn selfish Tudors.
I miss the intrigue, plotting and power struggles of the White Queen. Elizabeth Woodville was such a good character. Every episode was filled with drama. Catherine is a spoilt, powerless child in comparison. And her story is tedious and repetitive.

So, yet another road block for Catherine. I find this kind of writing a bit tedious. Everytime you think Catherine comes closer to her goal you put another obstacle in her way. This works a couple of times but unless they want to completely change history everyone knows what's ultimately going to happen. So it's just prolonging the obvious.
