i am so heartbroken, my Amberle x Wil heart is in pain :broken_heart::broken_heart::broken_heart:
the test of Amberle in the tree where "Wil" told her not to let love or any emotion get in her way of saving the world for the world depends on her. That's the moment I realized that Amberle would never have an endgame in the series, let alone end up with Wil :( ++ since I was so curious, I googled who ended up with Wil in the series and to my dismay, it was Eretria :( Tbh, Eretria's actions justified her situation; she just wanted to live. But I can't seem to connect with her. Every time she fooled someone, especially, Wil. I always get exasperated. Because personally, I don't like betrayal or anything like it. Maybe that's why I can't get to like her despite of her situation. Another reason was that she's the endgame of Wil and I badly ship Wil with Amberle
AND PLEASE THE CHANGELING, WHEN IS IT GOING TO DIE FR :rage::rage::rage:
Not bad, actors are evolving.
Ill keep trying
Great series, love it, recommend it.

Amber has to enter the Tree for a trial to prove herself to be the chosen. In this trial she sees a disasterous future of death, blood and destruction, while having to face her fears. In this case, her fear is having to kill someone she loves, i.e. Wil. After an exchange of words and some sword play, Amberle stabs "Wil" and kills him. "Wil" reminds her that not fear, not even love should stand in the way of her saving the world. This scene is a visual (and thematic) reminder of Buffy sword fighting with Angelus and ultimately driving a sword into him to save the world. As Buffy is driving the sword he turns back into Angel. Ultiamtely sacrificing love for a greater (though not personal) good and a destiny. This scene also reminds me of when Clarke stabs Finn in order to create a future on the ground, but maybe that is because the Clarke scene lead me back to the iconic Buffy/Angel (Becoming Part 2) scene. Ultimately destiny/greater good comes before personal wants and emotions, including love. Now is this foreshadowing that Wil could die? Earlier we had that throwaway line of human sacrifice to save the world. Maybe?
The visuals of the Dagda Mor are stunningly creepy. The concept and design are demonic, but almost a dark elegance to them, to mirror the Elvin aesthetics.
Bandon's vision confirms that our Trio (Amberle, Wil, Eretria) wil be the leads on the quest. But this ep also confimrs them as the love triangle. Usually I don't like them, but the dynamics and chemistry between these three makes it fun to watch. We have Wil who is stuck between high born and low born (both in birth and between the two girls who have his interest). But they are not just there for him, there are also interesting dynamics between the two girl, in race/class, but also remind me of two girls who haven't realized they will care about the other and become friends. There is a kinshipn between them they haven't discovered. I usually don't like polyships, but I would love it for these three.
Dialogue: really love that even though we have a fantasy quest, these teenagers are still very much acting like teenagers. The dialogue reflects that. They admit how scared, unprepared and unsure they are about destiny, but they're trying. They also bicker over romantic misinterpretations and how it complicates things. Love the mean girl back talk between Eretria and Amberle.
This episode sets the Trio on their quest.
