"Hey, you know why we, uh why we like to be hugged? The way I see it, it sets a limit on the pain.
You know? Puts a perimeter around it."
What i appreciate at this show is that (so far) the writers didn't make the film frustrating. For the last 5 shows i keep waiting for someone to discover their meetings, some hysterical nonsense about BBA's presence and interaction with the kids... Maybe some innuendo about sexual relationships... And i dreaded the moment they would show up, because we are used to it from other shows... I thought it to be predictable. This way the story could have been dragged around their attempt to reunite. I appreciate immensely that this 1st season was all about OA's story and not side lame stories. The failed "kidnapping" of Steve was there... Just as a tise... I felt like the writers were saying "we know you expect us to this, here it is"...oh! But wait.. It will only be few minutes in this episode. Putting this aside, i haven't seen the last episode still... But it does make me wonder what will they be able to put into season 2!? I wouldn't regret if it ended here, it would leave me with a sense of completeness/closure. I would analyze what i felt watching this, and I would be ok with this great experience. Of course I would love to see further seasons, but i wouldn't like to see it messes up by the need of making new long sob stories
For weeks that house was not used by dealers.
Where did they go suddenly? What happened? How can they stop them coming? So much things were not said like that.
And the door was closed in previous episodes. What happened there? They did not show about it also. They dont tell so much things from the beginning, so i give 5/10 for this episode.
I had good feelings towards nancy but she ruined.
In the restaurant alfonso holded her hand and dragged like a child. It was not good scene
I cant understand why those people beat steve if they work for school. How could they do and then could leave him? He is 17 and can be risky to stay with him.
Very disappointing after the finale of the preceding episode. Just an awkward outing full of random bizarreness and people doing stupid things. Hopefully the season/series finale bounces back from this silliness.

This episode is a bridge. It cements the link between all six of the group, it creates a fundamental break between The OA and her parents, while at first seeming to forge it.
Brit Marling continues to be exceptional in her performance, and in the writing of the screenplay. Although we have no Dastardly Hap to hate, we find ourselves losing some sympathy for Nancy, and gaining immense respect for 'BBA', who not only goes to mat, she puts everything she has on the line for Steve.
Steves breakthrough, while at first seeming to be a betrayal, allows The OA to really shine.
I love seeing the team learn the five movements, and how naturally Steve learns the movements, similar to the way The OA and Homer form a strong understanding around the first two movements.
I am deeply impressed with this show. I understand there are some folks who apparently don't 'get' it. It's ok. Those of us that 'get it', 'get it'. It's just not for you. It's clearly for us.
Exceptional episode, that perfectly preps for the finale.
