Wow, this came out of nowhere and impressed me a lot - very nicely filmed, acted and interesting enough to keep my attention. Fingers crossed!
Really cool show. Not a fan of Kaley but the show is amazing. She has done a pretty good job
I've read many of the comments here and I realize that what people do or don't enjoy is highly subjective (except, maybe, She's the Sheriff - that's just awful). I try to take shows and movies for what they are, not for what I want them to be. Essentially, Cuoco's character Cassie is Penny from Big Bang if she hadn't met the guys and settled down. I quite enjoyed watching Cassie being a hot mess. Sure, she went out of her way to do extraordinarily stupid things that got not only her but other folks into trouble or worse, but it was entirely within the bounds of her character. The show is quirky, funny, dark, disturbing, very unrealistic, and keeps my attention through each episode. It certainly isn't for everyone, but I, for one, found it delightful.
wai, why y'all haitn on Kaley?
If you take the most obnoxious, self involved, dumb party girl and put her in a TV show, you'd have this. It's just one long story of her whining and doing the absolute dumbest things humanly possible. The ongoing and pointless dialog with an imaginary dead man feels like a filler and doesn't add anything to the story whatsoever.
2 episodes in and I'm ditching this
Watched the first two episodes.....that's all I could take! Horrid!
The story so poor & the plot so weak. Main character is so annoying it reminds me of in the dark (blind drunk girl)
i'm on ep7 still couldn't attract me (thanks to f* quarantine :unamused:
So Kaley Cuoco wanted to do "Killing Eve" and this came out. The problem is a lazy script that uses cliches (antagonists must have British accents), impossible subplots (espionage), ridiculous justifications (alcoholism comes from childhood trauma), and random script twists (CIA agent). The feeling is of being an elongated series introducing stylistic resources (flashbacks) that try to slow down a poor plot.
Season 2 is a mess. Too many side stories with super slow story development. Annoying editing job. And weak script. They should’ve stopped after season 1.
it's really bad how on earth did it get renewed
The first two episodes showed so much promise but rest of them spiraled into nonsensical bullshit. Everything feels flat and forced.
OMG what rubbish. The script overestimated how much one could care about a completely selfish asshole of a person. When her friends and family dump her, I'm happy. I don't care about her at all... the flashbacks to her youth are extremely tiresome. the internal dialogue with the murdered man is extremely annoying. the hysterical breathlessness of her flashback state is the worst of all.
This has 98% on Rotten Tomatoes people....I have nothing against Cuoco, but it's true her character is annoying, shallow, slightly dumb, and also a drunk who hooks up with random guys as soon as someting goes wrong. I was excited for the premise and I like miniseries. However the plot is going nowhere, and it can't figure out if it's a thriller or a comedy. You will get sick of the non-sensical scene where Cass is thinking and somehow in her head back to the bangkok hotel room with her one night stand. This gets old very quickly
Okay... I gave it one star. Don't know why. So much over acting by the worthless drunk, who's face was constantly filling the screen.
Obviously they try to take the popularity of Cuoco in the big bang theory and use it here to sell a bad story, the acting is exactly the same! the faces, the postures, on the other hand the story ?! She is a party girl doing everything she does not have to do ... finally, Cuoco as a producer ... evidently the story is centered on her with the close-up shots that always make her ... very bad series, don't get me wrong, i like she as an actress, but here is too much, too dumb, another example, some situations put Cuoco as dummy blonde..for me a bad show that have only success because is Cuoco.
I really hope this gets canceled. This show hurt my brain. She actually did a great job on the roll but I hope she chooses her career choices better. The story sucks.
Do not bother watching the whole series. I made that mistake.
The main character is not redeemable. She continues to act terrible to everyone around her, just using them as needed, and there are some minor repercussions but everyone seems to accept that's just "who she is". They spend 6 episodes alluding to something very disturbing, and really it was a bad life event, but not a shocking revelation at all.
The killer is revealed in episode 7, but it is not any crazy twist or surprise. It's someone that was never alluded to earlier. It kills the whole point of the suspense and wonder. You could have put any of the 10-12 characters in a jar, shook it, and picked a just as randomly chosen killer.
There is a side story about a coworker stealing documents from her husband's computer, that only ties in the last 5 minutes of the final episode and not in any important way to the main story. Otherwise, it seems entirely unnecessary. The sole purpose of this side plot seems to be to explain why one character surprisingly owns a gun. It just wastes more time in a series that already felt it dragged.
Imagine if you wanted to tell a story of Robert Downery Jr. Instead of focusing on him succeeding and becoming Iron Man, you focused on only his earlier years dealing with substance abuse. It's just a depressing story with very few redeemable qualities or conclusion.
The most believable acting comes from the great performance of the man that dies in the first episode, then appears in the lead actress' mind. The only reprieve is in episode 7 when a few characters have a heart to heart briefly acknowledging they are not good people. Otherwise, they're constantly lying and taking advantage of each other.
The ending felt sudden and altered to allow for additional seasons with a weird explanation. It really feels it should have been 4-5 episodes and done. It could have been a decent miniseries if told without so much dragging and focus on how horrible the characters treated each other.
I gave it 5 out of 10, because it seems like some of the actors and actresses worked with what they were given. Set pieces were nice and the mystery was okay, but too much time was spent on details and side excursions that never really mattered.
8/8 episodes and I have to say, it's a tough sell.
Cassie, our lead, is possibly the most annoyingly self-centered character I've come across in a long time. The fact that everyone around her is expected (since we have her POV most of the time) to bend over backwards to come to her rescue gets old fast. But I kept watching because I've come to think that maybe that was intentional? Anyway, by the second half I was more invested in any other character but Cassie while still preparing for the inevitable redemption arc that sort of never came?
Temper your expectations, watch it as "mindless fun" and maybe you'll enjoy.
Just had to hear the intro music to know this show is unbearable.
This show is a mess! It’s even worse than it’s lead character Cassie…
The Flight Attendant tries to hit all genre boxes there are at once: Drama, Comedy, Crime, Thriller, Adventure, Mystery and probably a few I forgot. While trying to address all of them it actually turns out to be really bad on delivering on every single one. It’s just trying too hard to be something unique with all its fancy scene cuts and the soundtrack which is just annoying by the time the show reaches season 2. The story gets so confusing especially in Season 2 at times that it’s becoming seriously hard to follow and it has to be said, that at least in this show Kaley Cuoco does a bad job at drama acting. I think she’s really funny in TBBT and I thinks that’s where her acting skills lie.
I wouldn’t recommend watching this show. While S1 was still okay-ish S2 really wasn’t and consequently the show was canceled after that. Even if you’re a Kaley fan - don’t waste your time with this one.
I thought this was going to be interesting but total crap!
Only possible comment on season 2; it is an absolute train wreck.
Meh. Just not my cup of tea. Like a bad daytime drama.
It's not that good, it's like watching Penny (the big bang theory) graduate her as a stewardess and see her more drunk and irresponsible than ever. Megan's character is much more interesting.
Starts off really well then with every episode it gets weirder. It's like they are firing the writers or the writers just didn't think it through. There's spies, CIA, North Korea even.
The main character is a complete imbecile, the sequence of shit she does is irritating. Fill the bag. Annoys. Takes away the desire to watch.

Season one was decent enough and easy to watch but season 2 was incredibly bad!
I can take this show or leave it, there’s not much compelling about it but it’s mildly entertaining here and there. Kaley just isn’t a good actress, only a good Penny (well, for most of the seasons of BBT at least).
She plays a dumb party girl who gets into a bad situation and really learns nothing from it and just goes back to being a party girl.
Hopefully Cuoco didn’t blow all her bags of money from BBT because I don’t think this will go very long.
wow so bad season 2 what happened to her lol :O
She speaks and looks different..
The show has nothing to do with The Flight Attendant. It’s a show about struggles of a white person dealing with being an alcoholic but given everything in life because you know she’s white. I’ve known alcoholics before but they did not have the posh life that Cassie has in this show. It’s an entertaining show but very stereotypical, white is good and black is bad. Cassie has it so easy…
I'm confused, except for the first 2 chapters, why is the series called like that? nothing to see...
Text book hype and main character familiarity attempting to supplement a basic plot and alright-ish acting. I start out watching most shows sped up. Good ones force me to slow down. Not-that-good ones get their problems put on blast because they repeat in close succession. Want redundant close ups of freaking out? Settle in. Want dialogue that doesn't so much move the story as much as serve as clunky transitions into unnatural or incomprehensible ways in which people might be speaking about their circumstances? Feast away. I would never deride something on the mere basis of the word "formulaic," but it's impossible not to bemoan when the predictability continues to slap you. The characters don't feel anchored, even with something as easy and throw-away as alcoholism. All you'll be able to say is that there's nothing new or compelling to think about or take with you. You just have to more or less like to look at who's on screen and check right out.
PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND WATCH THIS SHOW AND ENJOY IT!! I was so shocked of coming here and seeing low scores and bad comments, I watch a lot of shows and I try to be objective and I feel like I can tell when something is good and has quality and this show has that criteria! I think the reason why a few people don't get to enjoy the show is cause we as audiences are not used to an imperfect messy chaotic leading woman, if you think about it almost every popular show has a "perfect" leading woman, you have a perfect version of the strong, badass, smart woman like in those detective, doctors, police officers, lawyers, agents shows or the perfect version of the sweet woman, that's vulnerable, pretty, charismatic, glamorous, likeable and most of the time they are also strong or find their strength along the way, SO what happens when your leading lady at first appears to be bubbly, charming, perfect blonde, but then you realize she makes TONS of mistakes, she's not as nice, she's not a good friend, she has an addiction and bad habits, and she can be weak and she´s not exactly the victim nor the villain, so what happens? well you get a fantastic show! cause it's real, it's refreshing, it's true! we as humans and as women are imperfect, sometimes dumb, other times we can't be strong, so yeah I enjoyed watching Cassie messing up and then working out ways to fix it. This show was intriguing, entertaining, fun, emotional, it hold up the suspense and mystery, and you end up connecting with every character either to root for them or to hate them. Obviously this show is about someone being dumb, so don't be like "I don't like it cause Cassie is dumb" THAT'S THE POINT! SO PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND WATCH IT BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY ENJOY IT, DON'T BE A HATER!
Instead of drinking and party almost everyday, she should have watched all CSI Las Vegas episodes
Would be much better without the drunk. The spy story is fine, Seeing her drinking all the damn time is awful.
:heart:x8
I found this to be surprisingly good. It was really nice and good to see Cuoco stretching her acting abilities. I also really enjoyed the story-telling mechanism as well. This could be the start of something bigger and better if the series continues. And if it continues it would have to be a different show altogether I believe.
Season 2:
Was also very entertaining and it was different enough. Warning: S02E06 is hard to watch - very emotional.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
Wait! Kaley Cuoco? Meh. Sounded interesting but I can't stand her.
Good start. I think it has potential to be a good show.
Loved it! Didn't know if I'd like her outside of the big bang theory but she did a great job!
The first episode was well done and makes you want more. If it keeps up this will be a great one.
I can’t believe I sat through this series.
The story is poor, the character lacks depth, the plot is weak. It's definitely not Killing Eve. But who cares!!!! This show is really engaging and interesting to watch, feel like classic 90's American fast-paced un-typical heroine mystery suspense novels. Something like Janet Evanovich's novels.
The premise of this show is pretty unique and I quite enjoyed it. My big issue is really with the second season that fell on its face and became quite convoluted. If you like weird, mind bending type content, I can recommend the first season if you need some content. But otherwise, skip the series if you watch shows from start to finish.
Average Season Review: 7/10
Recommendation: Skip (For Trippy Sci-Fi Fans)
utter waste of time. don't worry if you haven'seen this.
My sister is Bipolar or in her words "I'm off my f¥€¦<¡\g rocker" and we were watching Cassie in a scene (pick any one) and she asked me "is that what I'm like whan I'm twirling/manic episode" and I said yes and she said "wow you must get tired".
She’s very much a sorry excuse for a person. I hate everything she does in this show
S01 was a lot of fun, S02 was hard to get through.
almost finishes with season 1:
I like the story, that's why I keep watching.
BUT the main character is almost as annoying as the soundtrack.
The music is so bad, I thought about quitting to watch, because it gives me the worst headache and at the same time it makes me want to punch the wall.
I'm really not sure, if I even want to start season 2, I heard, it's really bad. That in combination with the characters and the music...
This is a well written, interesting show. I casually started watching the pilot episode this afternoon, and now 4 episodes into season 1. It's a murder mystery and just keeps you interested with its quirky characters. I might binge the whole first season today.
"Wow, what a manic and reckless plan"
Want to watch a show about unbelievable trauma being barely blunted by INSANE amounts of alcohol? A show where, as the stakes raise, the mystery gets increasingly complicated but not correspondingly compelling? Well have I got a show for you! While good and well performed, it swings for the fences on nearly every level and very few are justified. There's also a subplot which appears that will be important in season 2, that grinds the momentum to a screeching halt every time it comes up.
Typical TV quality plot full of coincidences and unrealistic events. Production value is high and cast is good too.
It's ok, not great. The problem for me is that i only see Penny. Probably because her acting is the same, she's palying the same role. Will probably not watch if there's a seson 2.
Intense and exciting but too much flashback. It's not perfect, but it's still great. It was fun, thrilling joy ride.

If I have read all the reviews here instead of at Imdb, I would have never bothered to turn my TV on to watch it. And it would be a mistake, because it is funny and engaging, acting is excellent, fresh editing really good for the action's tempo, For me it was great fun.
