Avasarala.....
Her performance is one of the reasons I watch.
Never a dull moment.
Great show.
"With all due respect, Madame, where are you going with this?"
"Wherever I goddamn like!”
"Whoever the fuck you are, stand down and let her speak."
Yup. Gotta love Chrisjen Avasarala more and more all the time.
"Puking Diplomat"… now there's a role title.
Chrisjen is growing on me more and more, she was totally badass in this ep!
No matter who you are, get out of the room!! ... These are the female characters that cinema needs, and not the forced ones that abound today.

Man, It might be stange but I found the peace negotiations on Earth really interesting and even exciting :D Mainly due do Bobbie and Avasarala of course. Let's see how that'll continue.
Our space cowboys are at it again, another crazy half cooked plan executed at full trottle.
Chrisjen owning everything at the UN/Martian submit, getting the info she wanted out of Bobby, was a master class in politics delievered by the reigning queen herself
One of the hardest part of the show has been seeing Holden become war/crusade hardened. Where everything is expendable as long as it gets them closer to the end goal. With every life they fail to save, or every disaster that isn't averted because of their softness, that is replaced by hard armor until there is no heart exposed.
Really enjoying this show so far
With Earth and Mars Colony at odds, and the "asteroid" Belters stuck in the middle, there is plenty of scope for a good story arch, while all the while a malevolent presence looms in the background.
The Expanse is a genuine space opera. Top notch characters and plenty of time to give them the depth they deserve. There are really no unlikable regular characters, which makes a pleasant change. We aren't expected to take sides because each of the three groups are simply humans trying to do what's best for their respective populations. We watch them all from a position of spying on our descendants, whilst recognising they are no different than we are today.
The show is full of intrigue, action, drama, joy and sadness. The production is high enough to make the science & tech convincing. The CGI is admirable, though it's not quite up to current blockbuster movie standards.
I've been reading the novels recently and the show certainly does them justice. If you like epic sci-fi you'll definitely enjoy this.
The whole political bullshit is totally realistic and I hate it. Venus becoming Eros 2.0 is awesome tho.
Just nitpicking about something no one cares: in Portuguese, the "J" is not silent. They were probably thinking of Spanish. Sloppy writing. Yeah, I know, this totally ruined the episode for me ;)
When ir comes to space politics, Avasarala is one bad motherfucker not to be messed with!
After the last, this was a great episode. The power politics during UN-MCR meeting was tense and Aghdashloo's Avasarala appears bold and masterful.
But the kick was the whole scene on Rocinante's attempt sneaking into Ganymede. "I know your type. Go save the world, if you think you can." That line and what happens after shows that we might like to play hero, but things may not go as well as we thought. Might seem wrong to let wrong-doings slip on our watch, but intervening it with our moral high ground on the top don't make things necessarily better. There's a wide gap between taking harsh life as granted and idealizing how that life should be.
It portrays perfectly how Holden and the crew has gone from your average ice haulers to someone who games on politics like Avasarala and the other. And yet, like the other commenter has said, "We aren't expected to take sides because each of the three groups [four if you count Holden] are simply humans trying to do what's best for their respective populations."
All of them are spun in this game of power, each with their own take on it - it is not too far off if some people may call The Expanse as sci-fi Game of Thrones.
Chrisjen showed 'em who's the boss!
"On horse give, you never a look at her teeth, I never understood that phrase"
