The Dangers in My Heart 2023

Never been one for romance but this...this stole my heart. The score is phenomenal, the initial few episodes had me smiling but the last episode I was in tears. The characters are so well written and the story as a whole is a breath of fresh air. Season 2 here I come.

Edit After S2: I actually prefer season 1 to 2, but s2 is not bad at all, each episode feels like its one of it's own like an anthology but the last episode ties them up beautifully, but the first season each episode felt like they were a part of a puzzle which fell into place beautifully in the season finale. Still love it tho.

Wow definitely a bait and switch in the best kind of way.

I went in expecting a mediocre conduit for fan service and came out seen a kind, patient, and nuanced romance. The show does a wonderful job of showing the cringy moments that come with being an teen, experiences of not quite fitting the mould you may be put into by yourself or others, and how it’s ok to take your time and understand how you really feel about yourself and the people you want in your life. The creators put the personal growth of the characters first and it made for something I could look forward to every week.
