This season in a nutshell.
Charles: I have done by best. My very best, and I am suffering!
Elizabeth: No, you are not suffering. We're suffering having to put up with this! Let me make something clear. When people look at you and Diana, they see two privileged young people who, through good fortune, ended up with everything one could dream of in life.
No one, not a single breathing, living soul anywhere, sees cause for suffering.
Charles: They would if they knew.
Elizabeth: Knew what? They know that you betray your wife and make no attempt to hide it. They know that thanks to you, she has psychological problems and eats or doesn't eat or whatever it is she does or doesn't do. They know you're a spoiled, immature man, endlessly complaining unnecessarily, married to a spoiled, immature woman, endless complaining unnecessarily.
And we are all heartily sick of it. All anyone wants is for the pair of you to pull yourselves together, stop making spectacles of yourselves, and make this marriage and your enormously privileged positions in life work.
Charles: And if I want to separate?
Elizabeth: You will not separate or divorce or let the side down in any way. And if one day you expect to be king...
Charles: I do.
Elizabeth: Then might I suggest you start to behave like one.
Mike drops
the entitlement of politicians... 11 years in the seat and she's throwing a tantrum? bitch, chop chop, get out the door
also Emma Corrin is A BEAST, really makes me nostalgic for Diana and I haven't even been born when it all happened
This season of The Crown is a pure women's play, and makes everyone profoundly hate Prince Charles.
I can hardly believe that season 4 is already over and we now have to wait two years for new episodes. Anyways, this final episode for now was exceptional as was the whole season. Again this episode had a very heartbreaking storyline. On the one side Margaret Thatcher being pushed out of office by her own party anf on the other side Diana struggling with her marriage to Charles and with finding her place in the royal family. Especially the scene with The Queen bestowing the Order of Merit on Thatcher was so amazing. Great acting by Gillian Anderson and Olivia Colman. The whole case of the last two season was fantastic. Sad to see them go but also excited to welcome the final cast for Season 5 and 6.
The Crown is really the best Netflix show ever and overall one of the best shows I‘ve watched. I look forward to start a rewatch of the first four seasons soon.
This whole show I love it

It's a little difficult to feel sorry for the family of Richie Rich. Spoilt brats all of them like the queen says to Charles.
The irony is the biggest spoilt brat of them alll is the Queen herself, IMO.
The show does a brilliant job of navigating the clust#r f#ck of tje situation that is the royal family with quite a good degree of nuance, I think.
