I love the mutual respect these characters have for each other. Everything has a human element and nothing is treated easily or naively. It's also a bit Whiplash in the sense it shows the immense pressure the people in this profession put themselves under to achieve greatness. Is it the correct way to nurture a talent like this, or are there other, softer ways to teach the same lessons via respect and time? Lovely stuff, this show is a great and no one seems to be clued in on it.
Every episode of this show just convinces me that the most stressful job in the world is working in a restaurant.
Also, I don't know if I want Sydney and Carmy to end up together. Part of me thinks that work really well together but I also would hate to see either of them hurt in some way because I just know with this show it wouldn't work out.
the Carmy Sugar relationship is a little too relatable as the mentally ill sibling.
every episode i get into this tv show more and more
Understand characters are complex, and not everything should be black or white, but I don't like Sydney, the way I think the show wants us to. In episodes 1 and 2, we dislike Richie and how he's coming down on new starter, but Sydney's eagerness showing through in 3-5 is so off putting for a new starter that maybe Richie, to some extent was justified. And granted characters like Richie and Tina don't help but Sydney, who is at face value more likeable, is coming off so arrogant.
that Carmy and Marcus talk outside was really nice :)
