People who make things about race that aren't about race make me think they are racist which is what causes them to think 'its about race' when it isn't, because that is their focus.

Unfortunately this episode has ended my lifelong survivor love, and it will be the last episode I watch. This turned it into something it’s not about, and it’s no longer survivor the way it used to be. It’s always going to evolve but it evolving into a race against race thing isn’t what this show was meant to be about. I don’t think I can respect this gameplay, and I would prefer to stop watching now.

...because only white people are racist...

"survivor has changed". survivor has always been a microcosm of society. the reason you are seeing more comments making you uncomfortable is because more marginalised people are cast and speak up, and society is becoming more aware. survivor has always brought life into the game. but as Maryanne så eloquently said: we all bring burdens and privileges into the game, but some bring heavier burdens. you might not like it, but this has always been part of survivor.

Someone needed to speak up at Tribal and remind everyone that none of the first seven people voted out of Survivor were black. The jury was the product of the game, not the result of racism.

Such an eye roll that they made this about race. Survivor is getting worse since they pushed these borderline woke narratives and ever since some recent major incidents within the game, the show has made sure to drop focus on gameplay and process to give attention to social injustice.

I love Jonathan but boy he was dumb this episode. As someone mentioned, he started to become what he was trying to avoid.

Also Tori represents everything wrong with entitled modern young God worshipping America. She had many stand out combative moments, but the eye flutter at the tribal council was cringe worthy.

Tori was kind of growing on me? Already kudos from the last episode for being the only one with their freaking eyes open in a game that information is treasure (re: Drea's advantage), and amidst all the dumb Big Man Survivor Moves (Rocksroy being his usual misogynistic idiot and Jonathan unfortunately starting to be exactly the stereotype he was fearing he is perceived as), I was somehow starting to root for her, timing was not her friend here. Mike is still cute-ish, but get off your high horse dude and play the game, this vote was a good start. Second tribal absolutely amazing, good for Drea to get the spark and decide to not be another player that gets voted out with a million unused tricks in their pocket. The second part of the game stars NOW.
