Overhype by Probst, boring and predictable bootlist, and a obvious winner made this season not so great. Mike is a good winner and I really liked Rodney, Jenn, Tyler, and Joaquin. The rest of the cast were either gone too early for me to care, boring, or just very ugly personalities for the show. Great pre-merge though.

So this season is very comparable to Season 24: One World, which is just coincidental in the sense they both have "World" in the title. Where Season 24 saw Kim Spradlin play a pretty perfect and well rounded game amongst an otherwise rather forgettable cast, Season 30 sees Mike Holloway pull out the greatest competition streak against an otherwise completely unlikeable cast. Yes, Joe was a fan favorite, and Shirin was a likable person, but they finished 10th and 8th, respectively. Mike was supposed to finish 7th or 8th, and instead basically won out and used a hidden idol the one time he didn't. If Mike would have finished at that point, this season would have potentially been bottom three. Fortunately, watching an "underdog" performance fight for the W is enjoyable enough to still be a good season. While you may enjoy the season if you are a fan of the show, it does not stand out as something I would recommend to everyone. On that note, I am still awaiting the day for Mike Holloway to return to the Survivor game!
