So this season deserves some love. Coming off Season 26: Fans vs Favorites, this game is...Family vs Favorites? And the Favorites are actually game players and create a very strategic season. And an added benefit is that the winner played one hell of a game. While the format sees the return of Redemption Island, which will surely cause some love and hate within the Survivor community, this particular season does it better than ever! The reason is that the season is pitting loved ones against each other. Every win, is a potential loss. Every loss, pits someone else on a revenge tour. The fact it gets to the point where certain players are sacrificing themselves, others are fighting for their loved ones, others are competing in head to head challenges on Redemption Island challenges with loved ones, and others are even VOTING OUT their loved ones creates a power and social dynamic unlike any other season to date! I would recommend this season to anyone, with the only caveat being that this is not an introductory season to a new viewer. This feels more like a spin off season that was an incredibly welcome change of pace.

I loved Tyson in this season. He played a great game. Also Ciera's flipping and big moves made this really really entertaining. This had a great twist, too. Hayden Moss convincing Ciera to draw rocks made this go into my top 10. Great season.
