Nothing against Donatello, but he can't singlehandedly make up for the fact that Cass and Crowley are dead (for now) while Mom is relegated to the portal world with Lucifer. We're only two episodes into the season and the cast holes are already painfully evident. Something needs to be done to get someone back to play a supporting role for Dean and Sam.
Lucifer and Mary have great chemistry. I'm glad their plot is evolving so soon. the writers have certainly cracked up Lucifer. I do like him but I like S5 Lucifer more. I love his sarcasm and how Many doesn't give a damn. "It's not my fault you were born a wimpy little human with your wimpy little lungs and weak little legs" and Mary like "What?"
I was expecting a bit more of the Michael-Lucifer fight. it was a little bit lame imo. Is that how it was supposed to be in S5? I hope they're saving the big fight for another moment. and why does everybody in this Alternate universe say "maybe I need you"? is that a thing?
I loved the foreshadowing of Scooby Doo. I can't physically wait for that episode.
One question though, why didn't Jack's hand burn the Bible when he touched it? We saw what happened when Kelly did so why not now? Anyways, amazing episode, heartbreaking ending and next week we get Missouri. My goodness how much I've missed her.
The greatness of this show. I always have low expectations for a Buck-Leming episode but I actually enjoyed it. Entertaining, funny and heartbreaking. Classic SPN.
I liked Sam a lot. The scene when he was talking to Jack outside just was heart wrenching. Jack's so sweet and helpless. Alexander Calvert is doing such a good job. I just want to hug him. Sam sees himself in Jack. He knows perfectly well what it is to be born with evil powers.
Jack. There's so much Castiel in this boy. He's absolutely adorable and naive. I hope they don't go down the villainous route. Sure it'll be interesting to see him balancing good and evil but I want him to stay good. He's too precious for this world. I loved that he was imitating Dean's mannerisms as a form of social learning.
I liked the family tree. Lucifer being the real father, Cas his chosen one and God as the grandfather. Dean should be nominated for crazy uncle. Crazy about mythology here. Shedim. They're like demons in Jewish folklore if I'm not mistaken. I loved the name drop. I hope we get to know more about them.
Asmodeus has great potential and being able to shapeshift was a nice touch. Jeffrey Vincent Parise did a good job. I like him, the last Kardashian, lol.
Angsty Dean is painful to watch. Jensen's emotional scenes break my heart. Hopelessness and pain in his eyes. He hates Jack out of anger and grief, not fear, because the only thing he sees when he looks at him is that Cas died because of him. But he'll eventually come around when Cas returns. I wish Sam told Dean about how he projects himself on the kid.
The final scene ripped my heart. It hurt me so much that Jack tried to kill himself. I just wanted hug him. And Dean just telling him that if push comes to shove he'll be the one to kill him just made me wanna hug him even more. Protect this boy cause all he wants is love.
So many characters that I don't remember when they introduced Donnetello but I like him lol.
Finally got a chance to watch. I think this season will be interesting with yet another Prince of Hell. It's always a pleasure watching Mark Pellegrino as Lucifer but am I the only one that wishes Mary died? Her role is almost pointless. And Michael...what a badass. Oh yes, season 13 is shaping up to be better than 12 so far.
Kinda a strange episode.
Jack is much different from any of the other 'big bad' monsters we've seen on the show before because although we have had some minor monsters where the boys are rooting for them turning out good and making the right decisions, we haven't really seen anything like that on this scale.
It's strange to look at Jack (with young Alexander Calvert's face) and see him as someone more powerful than Lucifer. There's this element of innocence to him, and in that way he's still a child who is learning, but at the same time he's dealing with making life or death decisions - and that's life or death for an entire planet.
bruh dean is becoming more and more of a dick as the show goes on

Gotta love Jack, and welcome back Donatello LOL
The interesting things in this episode are first confirming that Jack is more powerful than the Devil himself!!! This thing really scared me cuz till this day we don't know the limits of Lucifer's power and now Sam shocked us by saying that "A Nephilim becomes more powerful than the Angel who sired him"
Also we got to see the fourth prince of Hell and he looks awesome with that white suit and the irony is that he's wearing a white suit yet he seems the darkest prince, he had plans in the past to free an evil creatures from Hell that even the Devil himself was afraid of!!!! So this prince wants to use Jack for his personal plans and I don't get why he wants to free such an evil and powerful creatures if he can't even have control over them (since Lucifer didn't) and we got a glimpse of how they look when Jack opened that hole, so I'm totally scared now and wonder how they look like cuz till this day demons are presented in the show in human form rather than scary demonic sh*t so I wonder if these new creatures going to have a scary demonic looking face and body, personally I hope so it would change the mood a bit
Also I'm loving the drama between Jack and Dean and Dean seems a bit open to give Jack a chance and I hope he does
Lastly we saw Lucifer and Mary team up (kinda) and now we know why she's still alive and that because Lucifer wants to trade her for his son LOL, also the funny thing is that Lucifer is dead in the dimension he was sent to and he didn't even give a sh*t for that fact, he was like "you know there's alternative universes" LOL, gotta love Lucifer
