One of the best episodes of this season. Great work.

Star Trek: Discovery has been a surprisingly great show...up until this episode. The plot stupidity is so severe that I'm not sure it can be saved.

Loved seeing Doug Jones without makeup. Felt like classic Trek with the race switching

What kind of dumb Ship is this? Someone can easily beam aboard & take over the ship. Dumb! Dumb! Dumb!

So this time it was Saru and Stamets, needing reminders about what the logical next step and not to mention their duty is, while becoming too emotional. Very innovativ, these writers. They simply can't stop repeating the very same boring pattern in every single episode, so at least it wasn't Michael again!

And as usual the crew is a sad joke. Besides getting their shields up again, they did exactly nothing to prepare for their combat?
But hey, even while they spent so much time to radio "Hello?" again and again, instead of sealing the ship's commandos they just decide to wait. And then wait some more. Only after the bridge is taken, it's time for a futile attempt!

Sorry, this most incompetent crew ever is supposed to have saved the galaxy multiple times? :joy:

At least they chose an apt title: "Suck-all"

I’ve reached a point where I really don’t know what to male of this show. It’s all a bit directionless

loading replies

Pointless filler episode.
People doing things that make no sense.
Discovery taken over too easily.

And this shows how stupid the Tilly=1st officer decision was.

An ensign is in command of a ship (The most important one they have). What Admiral in their right mind allows that? (At least the Admiral makes a face being told...)
They could at least have made her a Lt - considering how fast Kirk rose to Captain a few centuries earlier (although being the youngest Captain in Starfleet at that time) and her seemingly being an exceptional officer (why else make her 1st officer as an ensign when there are alternatives with higher ranks sigh) it makes no sense that she didn't get a single promotion in 3 years - especially since she took part in a program designed to create commanding officers - those are usually designed for fast promtions, so the system can make use of you longer.

Also, Shields are up and at 54%, how exactly did they beam aboard?

One of the best episodes so far this season. Suspenseful, mysterious and funny. Good acting and great CGI, I loved the new worlds and the nebula. The transformation of Saru is awesome. Lots of cliffhangers for the final two episodes that I hope will be unravelled. However, some I miss some depth in the villain.

Shields at 40%, it means that the shields are active, right? It has not convinced me much

One of the best episodes of this season. They take the war in all the fronts you can imagine. Great work.

I'm still not really into all this personal drama but this show is worth watching just for the visual effects!

In contrast to most of the other comments, I thought this was a really great episode. I loved the whole sequence of developments with Michael, Saru, and Hugh on the planet; terrific graphics for the creature, too. I enjoyed the protective but glitching computer holograms that our group kept encountering.

My only real gripe with this episode was the solidifying of Tilly's recent promotion, which still doesn't really sit right with me bearing in mind all the other higher grade officers on board Discovery. I know she's proven herself to be a capable and competent member of the team but she doesn't have the nerve I would argue to be a good Number 1 - it's also why I think she doesn't really work in the mirror Terra universe. Don't get me wrong, I actually like her character/the actress but I don't think this development quite works; I would like to think it gets undone for season 4.

On a different note, I'm not quite sure what Adira's plan was beyond "potential suicide mission to bring more medication"; seemed a bit cavalier. Still, I'm excited to see how the story continues next week.

This season is getting worse by the episode.

Ooh, I really enjoyed this one. It had a real '90s Trek vibe with the holodeck and the cast being able to appear as different species. And all the problems being caused by an upset child is also very much in keeping with decades of this franchise. Tilly was surprisingly great in the captain's chair.

I'm a bit worried that the show is starting to suggest that Michael should take over from Saru as captain. He's still learning but is the best choice by far. It's also a little strange that Paul doesn't want Hugh to go on the away mission, has he been like that the entire time they've been in Starfleet together? He has every right to be worried, but they are senior officers, it's what they do all the time surely.

This episode wasn’t for me, it was quite boring. Maybe some others might like it.

And of course that dumb bitch is just sitting there looking stupid instead of firing and jumping away. Another embarrassing moment in this season. Only Saru would be stupid enough to put her in command.

 I adore Doug Jones, the man is SO talented. It was a pleasure to see his lovely face on Discovery.

This new storyline is a thrill, unravelling Su'kal's history is captivating, but I'm not too keen on Osyraa. She's getting on my nerves, I just want to see her eradicated... maybe that means she's a decent villain... idk.

LOL at Michael not being Vulcan.

Good episode, plenty of mystery and excitement. Plus I find green women very beautiful.

This season feels the weakest, like they didnt know what to do with it. Osyraa being defeated before rather easily now surprised them quickly and easily? I didnt feel a slither of tension, it was that ridiculous. Also we've only ever been told how a force Osyraa is, we only saw one planet when she was having a dozen slaves and that's it. Hardly feels like a big bad of the season.

I still don't understand why Adira is relevant to be a character in the show other than being a representation of LGBTQ. And Tilly as Number One is ridiculous. She was an Ensign MAYBE a year and other than having similar views and values with Saru I completely dont understand why he chose her. Maybe bc there was no one else with so much screen time.

The show really lost so much with Philippa.

8/10
Another great episode, and things
have got very serious very quickly.
I was saying that is not a Federation ship, Yellow Alert at least, but no, we just waited and waited then.
Fcuk to late now.
This was definitely above Tilly's pay grade to handle and I've actually been a full on supporter of her being acting Number 1.
But I'm sorry she was way out of her Depth with this one and her actions are lack of just got the most important and most Awesome Ship in the history of star trek captured the very first time she's left in command as first officer.
"Michael you got this".
Suru and Tilly you both need taking out of you're current command's because you have both put the crew and the ship and the hole Federation in Danger. It's time for another Captain and there is only one person I can think of, the only person it's ever been.
"MAKE IT SO"

Kinda a neat fantasy episode but I really need to change my mindest from watching a Sci-Fi show to watching a fantasy show. There is some science in this show but it really doesn't feel like much. It's basically becoming Star Wars and I like that too but from my memory Star Trek used to be much more about science.

The time traveling made this show meaningless for me, the parallel universes silly, and I'm annoyed how they activate the fog machines, light/sparkles shows, and camera shaking everytime a ship starts to get in trouble but apart from that it can be enjoyable as a fantasy show.

Anyway, it was nice to see the actor behind Saru :D
CGI wise it was also pretty neat!

I've been consistently between completely indifferent to mostly disliking Discovery. But this episode actually FELT like a Star Trek story. It wasn't perfect, but I really enjoyed it. Doug Jones getting the chance to pull a "Pedro Pascal" and show his face was a very welcome surprise!

The most Star Trek episode of all of the Discovery episodes, so far. It definitely pleased an old time fan like myself and I felt like a kid watching Star Trek, once again

More Interesting than anything that has gone before in this series and has added bonus of 1 Group Hug and a hug.

My first low score of the season...nothing technical, but...leading us to worry Suru might havet'a cull this guy, but knowing he'd sacrifice himself to avoid it...is kind of his own personal Kobiashi Maru test (and, I just don't like it).

Dang, wish he were a Klingon!! Would have been more interesting.
