Silo: Season 1

1x09 The Getaway

The penultimate episode ties together the threads sewn throughout season one setting up a tense platform for the finale.

Glad to see season 2 has been green lit already. I’m ready to rank this season now. I think it’s the best tv series of 2023 so far.

Finally an episode that has tension throughout and feels like the story is moving forward. With only an episode left, would have been quite disappointing if it didn't start to pick up.

So freaking frustrating slow. Unnecessary drama just to create fake tension.

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed as this episode was rather a circle then a progression. At best it confirms what we already knew/suspected. OK, maybe that's some kind of progression. But it felt like fifteen minutes content strecht to forty-five.
But even an average episode of this is still a good one.

Each episode makes me enjoy the show all the more. The actors are doing a great job, the cerebral mind game is building. Just imagining the situation if you were in the Silo for 140yrs and nothing, or little is being shared or taught to you. The Silo is all you know. Then slivers of truth reveal themselves like what are those little lights in the sky at night? How screwed up would you get?

This is the type of show that needs that slow burn for the audience to really involve themselves into the "What If" question. What if, that has actually happened in reality because there are scholars that believe we have lost an entire advanced era on earth and all (well 99%) has been decimated in a global calamity.

My curiosity would plague me till I found more information and it shocked me what he did with the oven. I'd would say it will drive him to crazy town destroying that.

I really hope the wait won't be a couple years before S2 comes out. I'm captivated. Put yourself in her shoes, become involved mentally involved. Such a good show.

This show is good, but the cast is really hit or miss when it comes to the acting performances.

I have to agree with everyone who says this is setting the stage for the next season.

More and more I’m feeling like production f’d up. This should have been a three season show with each season covering each book. The episodes in the show are just way too drawn out with unnecessary fluff to make the show longer. My last comment stated I wasn’t sure if I’d continue past this season and it’s looking more and more like that will be the case.

It's about time we had confirmation the outside world is clean. I guess the suits were filled with poison air. Why did the people outside not take their masks off straight away though and why would the powers not want to leave the silo, unless they don't know

Loving this show so far. I have strong feeling though that going outside for cleaning is not really "outside" but another fake room, some elaborate way to make people be happy during the actual execution with poison gas or something along the lines (from the suit or fake atmosphere or something).
But hey that's just a theory :D

Tense throughout and bringing everything together very, very nicely. Love that we’re coming full circle a bit to the first few episodes and I’m anxiously awaiting the finale.

14 minutes before the opening credits/intro.

It's okay....all is good...that's what TV is about ... that's how it's supposed to be... don't lose your temper just yet... the show is supposed to be entertaining your curiosity and not testing your patience. Embrace the slow run and be proud of how far you've reached, and no matter what happens on the next episode...remember not to say the words, you still don't know what's out there
