is it just me or all the characters start sounding exactly the same at some point? same cadence, same expressions, same repetitive manner.
don't get me wrong, it started off really promising, and I love kerry washington. but around third season something happened to the screenwriters

Good writing and acting, but I can't find a single character to like. It seems like every person in the show is a lying, cheating, immoral, self-obsessed criminal. Being a simpleton, I'm more entertained when there's at least one character that I can relate to and/or root for. Not here, not at all. Yuck.
This show is full of horrible people with severe daddy issues. Fitz is a putz, thinking his penis is a flagpole and anywhere he sticks it he's claimed as his for the glory of the republic.
Not a terrible series -- but after 1 season it becomes formulaic and repetitive. Would've made a better miniseries with a resolved story line. After a single season, you've seen it all...
the second season is what i call perfection! i'm obsessed!! can't wait for the 3rd season
I made the mistake of binge watching the first 4 series of this. It then took me awhile to watch all of series 5. Series 6 sits on my PVR. I might have it watched by christmas or something. I just got bored & sick of the love triangle

The storylines keep being incredibly ridiculous. Should have ended last season.
Another ridiculous episode, with over the top acting, and that caricature character played by that awful Joe Orton. "I WANT MY BONES". Oh please, so cringeworthy...
This series started off well, but got beyond silly. Olivia Pope is an obnoxious character, her father delivers a homily every time he opens his mouth. Hopefully they’ll end season 7 with both of them getting shot.
While at times this show can be severely over acted, it's still a fun, light watch with interesting characters and enough serial plot lines carried through the episodes to hold your attention for a full season. And while (at least through the end of the first season) Pope is a little too defined by her connections to the president, I still think she's a rather powerful heroine. The show writers also do her justice by making her flawed because let's face it, nobody's perfect (especially in politics).
Watch this with My Girlfriend and its OK. Drags and repeats a bit but it keeps her happy lol.
Great show! Second half of the fourth season is uneven but it gets amazing again in season 5! Must watch!

I used to really like this show. The first two seasons were really well done. Season three, it slipped a little. Season four was not good at all. I had hoped season five would right the ship, but having just watched the season finale, here's where I stand: And with that, I sign off this show. It has become an unwatchable combination of obnoxious and stomach-turning, without a single likable character -- White Hat, if you will -- remaining to redeem it.
