Season 1

Not the biggest fan of the ending but I also didn't hate it. It was a fun ride and it did something new with the GHD formula which I liked. It added a second person. Talk about co-dependence ehh?

Only one word can describe Russian Doll: Crazy.

In recent years, Groundhog Day has essentially become its own genre and out of the new group of time-loop stories this has to be my favourite. This show is strangely addictive given the repetitive nature of the story, in large part this is due to the infectious performance by star and co-creator Natasha Lyonne who brings energy to the show that keeps it feeling as if the story is moving forward. Later her chemistry with Charlie Barnett adds a new dynamic that keeps this momentum.

Later episodes also have a surrealist nature adding excellent and unique visuals along with bizarre plot twists where the show almost becomes a horror story towards the last two episodes. I’m not 100% sure if all of these plot twists make sense or if the story will hold up to intense scrutiny but I do know that it was a whole lot of fun to watch.

It's good. It's not amazing, but it's entertaining and occasionally funny. Too many questions left unanswered for my taste, though. Maybe the second season addresses them.

I couldn't see the "comedy" on here (I guess I never will understand the "humor" of the yankis), but anyway the show is good. Interesting.
Lyonne's character is the same selfless, junkie, cold and lovely than in OITNB.

Nothing groundbreaking, but a self-aware and funny take on the Groundhog Day formula. The ending (and really a lot of the zany bits) feel more like they're going for mindbending than actually substantive ideas. I'm not super invested in the arc or the relationship between Nadia and Alan, but still am curious enough to watch season 2.

I don't understand why people would like this show. I thought the writing, dialog and acting were simply terrible. Do people really act this way in real life? How clumsy can one person be? Seriously, show some manners, self respect, lay off the drugs, look where you're going and you probably won't be killed every 10/15 minutes!

I can't tell you if the rest of the show is any good but the first 2 episodes are... frankly a disgusting mess of a show. I couldn't bring myself to watch another minute. Awful. Just awful.

This was a fantastic season. Writing was top-notch. Great performances from everyone. And the story was wrapped up nicely. I hope they don't screw up in the second season.
