Not 20 minutes in they've blatantly ripped off Silence of the Lambs AND Uncut Gems. Where are the writers I just want to talk
I don't know yet.... It's good that they broke up most of the couples before the time jump, felt realistic that these teens would grow into adulthood on their own but it does sting a little. Toni pregnant, I don't know if I would've written her pregnancy into the show. Makes me extra sad for Cheryl - who seems to have gone batsh*t crazy believing in a curse when if you look at the way she is living... that in itself IS the curse -. I also fear that per usual the Riverdale writers are keeping the baby daddy a secret so they can drop a massive bomb on us later... like maybe the dad is someone like Hiram for extra shock effect. You never know with these writers
I was so afraid that Pop was dead but luckily they spared him though I do think if someone that we actually love and care about died it would make this new mystery more haunting. Now we have this new killer and a victim we have zero information about just yet. It just feels a bit weak. All of it does really. Hope the next episode will be better.
Why do I keep watching this show...
I did not feel like I was watching Riverdale. mixed feelings.
toni topaz getting the screen time she deserves was the highlight of this episode
It was just short that's all.... Actually idk what happened....
Oh I just want to point out the fact that this is supposed to be 7 years in the future but in the actual show we only skipped 2 years? They weren’t even supposed to graduate college until 2024 and it’s only 2021 apparently?:sob:
Absolutely everything about this was ridiculous. But at least they're moving in a new direction, I guess.
Toni mentions that they reformed the Serpents once they were done with college. But we have been told in the past that the Serpents were not just the teenagers, and were the Utena ancestors or whatever. But, apparently, the Serpents folded once all of the teenagers were in college or elsewhere. And they didn't reform until those former teenagers returned to do something about it. So what gives? Are the Serpents a large gang made up of a bunch of people, or was it just the teenagers? You can't have it both ways, show!
Veronica says "it's 2021." Does that mean the show up until this point actually took place earlier than its airing date? Because that would mean they graduated in 2014. Or is that just the writers being inconsistent and not caring about continuity, as per usual?
Weird that it skipped years with the mystery being what happened to everyone within the 7 years. It’s weird that Veronica married a guy that looks and acts like her dad lol.
Of course they are all successful too. Archie is a sergeant, Veronica is married and rich, Betty is Clarice from Silence of Lambs and Jughead is a successful writer.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina should have been on longer. This should have ended a lot sooner.
WHAT? betty is together with her brother?....
