So we saw in an earlier episode that the FBI is in fact involved in this highway killer case but somehow they are never there and they seemingly don't care that Betty is playing rogue agent determined to get the killer herself. Also does nobody miss the trucker she took? What did she even do with his body? Did she report it? Hide it?
Enough about that, let's move on to Cheryl. Who elevated to a whole new level of insanity. Even Kevin looked shocked that Cheryl actually thinks she might be a living saint. And I actually felt sad for Penelope who created this 'church' and is now basically banned from it. Another 'what did I just watch?' moment.
So are we supposed to believe Hiram gets outsmarted by his daughter(s) AGAIN? because he 'hid' the palladium in what seems like PLAIN SIGHT!? Hiram, come on... I have to admit that after the Hiram centered episode I feel kind of sorry for him, dare I say that I'm rooting just a little bit for him? It's Riverdale, rooting for Hiram Lodge is the least crazy thing to happen.
Oh look, Veronica stupidly told her adversary what her plans are and how far along she is with them, for the umpteenth time, and then is shocked when said adversary uses that information she just stupidly gave them to act against her. She's a fucking moron.
Why would you take palladium that was supposedly just mined (they pretended it was from Cheryl's mine) and then shape them into doubloons? You'd just sell the metal itself. No one would care about fake, non-historical doubloons.
"Good time girls?" So... whores, then? She hired whores and brought drugs to a party that she knew her father was attending? Alright, cool, not weird at all.
"My career as a writer will be over." No, not really. Losing one single agent does not mean you can never write again. This Samm Pansky dude does not dictate who is and isn't allowed to write novels. Really being overdramatic here.
Jughead and Betty were very clearly not actually in the room together when they filmed that bunker scene. It was rather distracting.
Archie's storyline was a massive waste of time. Yeah, let's watch him wander around and talk to random people that we have no idea who they are and will never see again. And the fact that the trial was resolved in a single day is just laughably stupid.
Cheryl's thing was dumb as hell, too. All in all, there was maybe like 10 minutes of relevant content in this episode, and the rest was pointless shit to pad out the runtime.

Who else is bored with Archie’s story line?
