Gina Torres, YES! She's always a delight to see on screen. That said: I feel like Mrs. Burble is there to put all of our fan feelings out there. Telling it how it is.
Veronica with her daddy issues.
Cheryl, no you're not crazy (but you will be if you keep this sh*t up) someone is messing with you.
Jughead, show some love for your old man
Betty and Alice.... I can't even.
And last but not least: Archie. Finally an adult telling him to stop being a frickin' vigilante because that is some very dangerous stuff he is doing. Not that he is going to listen. Archie does what Archie does.

I have a feeling that either Penelope Blossom is messing with Cheryl or Toni. Could it be Toni? I don't want to think it but my mind went straight to it after Cheryl's heart to heart with Mrs. Burble.

getting real tired of the veronica hiram hermione hate triangle - how many times are they going to run the same story?

For me that might have been the best Riverdale episode in a long time.
I liked how serious these therapy sessions were and how they actually mentioned all the weird bs that's been happening non-stop. It's unfortunate how some of them didn't take the therapist's advice though (like Archie keeps trying to play superhero and Veronica once again declares war and Independence from her father instead of walking away from him), and I'm sure most of the advice and self-awareness will be forgotten anyway in the next episode.

Thank goodness for Gina Torres. Framing the episode through Mrs. Burble's sessions as the new guidance counsellor was a very good choice and made for the most enjoyable episode of the season.

What year does this story take place in? Tape recorders & VHS tapes/players...seriously!

Oh, Archie is 18 now? How convenient. It was only in the last couple of S3 episodes that they said they were 17. They weren't even 17 for half of a season...
I'm guessing they're having Archie move out (as nonsensical as it is) so they have an excuse for Molly Ringwald to stop guest starring.

Alice freaking out about Betty's college was stupid. I figured that perhaps the money she had given away to Edgar was returned, due to working with the FBI. But, nope, apparently she gave away all of Betty's college fund before she began working with the FBI, meaning that money is long gone. Which makes Alice saying anything about Betty's college situation utterly ridiculous. It doesn't matter if Betty got in to a college or not, because all the money for it is gone!

Remember when Betty and Veronica were also cheerleaders? I wonder what happened to that. Toni was one, too, for that matter. They're even more inconsistent with that than with Archie playing football whenever he feels like it, as if he would still have a spot on the team after the amount of time he's skipped playing.

I really hate the inconsistent characterization of the Riverdale parents (esp with Alice and Hiram), like, wow early season 1 Alice is back because she's the one most beneficial for this arc. I super love how Betty is in this episode though. I think this was a fun, self-aware episode, and it gave me Teen Titans Poking Fun at Itself since It Has Been Reduced to a Meme vibes. Hoping that the school counselor stays and isn't actually a bad guy. Dialogue somewhat improved in this episode too??

Now I guess Bettie’s mom is a bitch without it being pretend this time. She is upset about Betty having sex. With her awful parenting she is lucky she’s not on heavy drugs.
