I'm so done with Veronica being a selfish and fake person almost all the episodes this season, and also her mafia annoying family. Thank god for Jughead because he is seeing all Hiram bad plans. Betty will help him and Fred too. Archie continues to be dumb and blind, nothing new. Cheryl continues to be amazing and I'm loving her relationship with Toni.. Cheryl deserve some happiness.. Enough of this mess with her crazy and awful mother. Great episode.
Riverdale is the definition of Extra.
Most of what happened in this episode was rather inconsequential (Cheryl's imprisonment aside), but framed as if it were groundbreaking reveals and climactic events. Case in point: Archie cutting Juckhead's chains. It was like a reprise of the Riverdale vs. Serpents rain fight, but trying to be far more serious with far lower stakes.
I wish the Black Hood came back and killed Archie. He's just so so stupid. It ruins Riverdale for me.
A rare sign of hope for a return to season one glory came when the writers flirted with some "Who's after Cheryl?" stuff in this one. Sadly, that single bit of potentially interesting plot development quickly devolved into an anvil-icious unintentional comedy routine involving "Sister Woodhouse" and her very large needles, which will soon begin to rid Cheryl of the "naughty demons" that are making her "think such awful, unnatural thoughts." Yeah, they went there. They teased us with some potential threats to Cheryl's life and then teased us with some buildup to a little Cheryl/Toni quality time in bed and then dropped both of those developments and went with "Sister Woodhouse" instead. Unbelievable. But hey, maybe Jughead will sanctimoniously chain himself to some other building next week since that's such an exciting thing to watch.
Scared for Cheryl, hope Toni will save her and claim the kiss.. Can't wait to see what Betty will do about Chic.. The rest of the show is trash
Veronica's level of manipulation of the people she supposedly calls her friends knows no bounds. She is the fucking worse. A straight up scumbag between her and Archie. Literally everything that comes out of their mouths is a lie and do it to the people they love the most.
Cheryl’s storyline is making me wanna drop this show, annoying as fuck....
LMAO, what the hell was the point of that Andy Cohen cameo? A celebrity endorsement is meaningless if the celebrity doesn't live in the town and will not take part in the vote. That was so weird.
Isn't it like February or early spring in the timeline? Christmas was 7 episodes ago in this season. So why would they be running for student office in the spring? That makes no sense.
So Archie is on the wrestling team after all? They haven't mentioned it at all since the episode where he tried out. They didn't even confirm if he made the team or not. And why would the other wrestlers agree to cutting the chains? What's their stake in all of this? (It's nothing. They have no stake in any of this.)
Why is everyone acting like this prison is going to take over the entire town? And acting like everyone is going to have to either work at the prison, or leave? Nothing else is being changed. Just a prison being built. Everything else will still exist. It's really not that big of a deal. Jughead saying that his sister will only have the choices of "getting the hell out or working at the prison" - uh, no. First of all, like I said, everything else will still exist. Second, a school is being replaced. It's not like some office block or strip mall full of potential jobs is going away. A closed down school is being replaced. Unless Jellybean aspires to be a teacher, then her prospects will be completely unaffected by a prison being built. And even if she does want to be a teacher, there's still Riverdale High.
Also, Jughead talking about protecting the school "me and my friends went to" is rich. He was forced to attend Southside High against his wishes, and was only there for a few weeks at most before it closed. It's hardly "his" school. Archie even pointed this out, but it was glossed over. It's true, though. Jughead barely has any connection to Southside High in reality.
Soooo Chic can do his Webcam shit, but Betty's mom gets upset that she's having sex with Jughead? This show is too much and proving to me why I stopped after the first season for years.

Of course, chain them for 2 days just to have them walk away without any resistance whatsoever when it actually counts because hey, they cut the chains, there is nothing else they can do like maybe, I don't know, stand their ground and not leave without a fight!
That, Archie, the Lodges, everyone (who used to be smart) doing one dumb and out-of-character without valid reason thing after another and the "big mysteries" with underwhelming revelations are getting more and more annoying.
On the plus side, you go archie's mom!! Finally, someone told him off, he deserved it.
Ok, so I’m going crazy over this, can someone tell me when does Archie tell Veronica that he’ll be her running mate? I have to watched the episode in Popcorn and I just can’t find that part anywhere, am I missing something else here? It’s driving me nuts.
