Enjoyable enough to basically binge, but that said not outstanding even for the zombie genre. Characters felt internally consistent and were fun to watch, and despite the large number of deaths, including the first presumed "protag" invoked more emotional attachment than I was expecting. Came in with low expectations and it barely beat them, but it did.
the fact the show takes place in rio de janeiro....there's criticism (parody ?) aimed at bbb and boninho somewhere in there
So far, Dead Set was much better. Exact same plot done 12 years earlier.
do not watch it for any reason, so trash that my TV switched of automatically.

Actually, despite the bad reviews, this was VERY enjoyable and I even bingeviewed it. I thought Dead Set was a trash approach to the genre that wasn't intended to be taken serious, and the series itself was actually not taking itself serious either, so I went for the same approach here, seeing as this is a series based on dead set, and actually liked it A LOT. There is a lot of cultural references here, which are not part of the original dead set, and the scheming and backstabbing were quite interesting. Some actors are not really good, specially the one's who never actually acted before, but honestly, if you're looking for plots that make sense and oscar winning performances, you are probably looking at the wrong genre of movies. It's enjoyable and can be quite entertaining, is just not something to brag about in your family dinner.
