What kind of an unfinished cgi project was this? Seems like they spent 1% of the original budget on CGI

Agree with others.. CGI is bad.. wasnt great in the first place but much worse.
Really felt like there should have been an episode before this.. like we have just time jumped? Or just skipping over a huge chunk of stuff which happened in between seasons? I dunno.. two first episodes felt very weak.

But the story while batshit insane is still really gripping and intense.
So, they probably recognized that the season 1 finale was utterly idiotic and they made it completely irrelevant now...
So many examples of bad exposition and plot conveniences...
And the misrepresentation of atheism and rational thought continues.

The first 2 episodes feel more easily accessible than the previous season. Maybe it's just because we already know the characters but the WTF moments are gone. It's really interesting that we don't get spoon fed who the good guys are. I'm happy we see this continue but a bit better. I didn't notice the CGI but I'm from the Atari generation, anything better than Minecraft gfx still looks amazing to me.
