This is all in all a very strange society even within the realms of the Batman Universe. They are displaying criminals on the streets, there is still a German Reich. I don't remember anything like this ever mentioned before. Is this some form of alternate reality ? The Minister of Culture giving a state about Cliff Richard going solo ? Althought that is kind of funny.
The flashbacks seem to have some other meaning I'd say. We already know Alfred has nightmares and is haunted by his past so showing them for that reason makes little sense now, doesn't it ?
After dragging 2nd and 3rd episode,Series back in track with 4th.Its about pennyworth and martha Kane moments and ends interesting with the death of an important character.

The ending came out of nowhere. But I feel like it could've been hinted at with subtle dialogue from one of the Raven Society's people and I didn't catch it. And I find it kind of interesting how Alfred and Martha have more chemistry and make more sense than him and Esme in this show. The latter two just seemed like they weren't going to work from the start.
