Peaky Blinders: Season 6

6x03 Gold

Bloody-hell I remember visiting that Hospital (opening scene) when I was a kid, I remember the doors and walls just like that and the echo sound in the reception area, spooky!!

Ada is such a badass! She totally carried this episode if you ask me. The camera work was another thing that really caught my eye. Some beautifully filmed scenes.

A bit of a trip down memory lane with visiting old locations and long seen caracters, chasing gypsy curses and family members, walking down the streets in slow motion as Peaky Blinders as well as some beautiful wide shots. Trying to find the point where being stuck in the past tries to overcome the need for change and vice versa. Ever since I realized the series can't handle bigger stakes (and especially the growing reputation of the show) as well as they did smaller ones in the early seasons, this was the best episode which understood where it originally came from, showed how much some characters grown, and reminiscenced about past in a self aware way so it might be able to move forward - hopefully better than they did so far.

I love Ada. Sophie Rundle is playing so simple and elegant. (That scene with Isiah in the office!!) She is so much better than Amber Anderson and Anya Taylor-Joy.
Oh, and Aimee-Ffion Edwards is back. I love her so much. And Stephen Graham. A lot of big talent in one show. They are very lucky people, who where workint on the set.

But the end was just cruel. I really hoped..

I cringed at the mask line. Something someone parodying Joker would write.

yeah have to 9/10 this one because Ada was such a stone cold killer this ep. Also loved the setting for where Tommy finds Esme, felt like an old western.
