Exactly because of its preposterousness, I can't get enough of every character's double take when first mistaking Lynch for Martin, especially Short's comments lol.

So a character that I thought was more involved is definitely so - but who is behind the whole thing, specifically the attack on Jan, I'm not sure (unless I've missed something).

Writing for this series has been really great. Hope there's a season 2. Casting Jane Lynch as female Steve Martin's double is a masterstroke.

“If you’re a murderer… STOP MURDERING.”

  • This episode is hilarious!! Finally, they moved on from the Dimases, this storyline got boring really fast.

  • How on earth are they going to fit everything into the final episode? How are they gonna answer all my questions in 33 minutes?

  • Jan being the murderer seems like a misdirection. Like, there is something off about her but I think this would be too easy.

  • Tim had more than enough complaints to get him evicted (Ursula gave Oliver a huge folder of complaints). Why wasn't he evicted?

  • I'm having trouble believe that Jan and Tim were sleeping together. I feel like maybe Tim have simply received Jan's bassoon cleaner by mistake. Or maybe there is something more? Because the guy sitting next to Charles at the concert looked a lot like Tim.

  • Once again, Mabel’s outfits! I'm in love.

  • “That was mean. A great callback, but incredibly mean.” No, but seriously, I don't care if Jesus himself is in the category, Martin Short needs to get all the awards, he’s so funny on the show.

I adore Jane Lynch being brought in as Charles' stunt double. Such a delight of an actor and perfect for the absurdity of it all.

Omg Oscar looks even hotter without the weird facial hair
As if this show wasn’t great enough, we got gifted with an special appearance by Jane Lynch
And it’s crazy to me that even if you own a multi million apartment you can get evicted because of complaints? Like okay I’ll leave but buy me out?

The focus doesn't have to be on Jan as a bassoonist, maybe it was the other bassoonist, the first chair, the prodigy girlfriend of the guy sitting beside Charles. Also, there is nothing to say that if it is Jan that she couldn't give herself a little flesh wound to make it look good, the note could have just been from Bunny because she might want to evict Jan too. Well, I guess I'm going to find out.

Sad, because I really loved the adorably nerdy chemistry between Amy Ryan and Steve Martin, but talk about a great reveal. Also, Jane Lynch swooped in and stole the whole show in just one episode, as she often does.

But we’ll it’s just one episode I hope !

I didn't recognize Jane Lynch at first. Holy cow. I absolutely loved her in this. She is fantastic! Definitely the best cameo of the season.

Part of says it is completely asinine that Sazz just happens to wear the exact same outfit as C.H.. However, C.H. must have some idea since he put on his hat and coat to answer the door But still, everything else is a match as well. WTF?

The other part of me finds it completely hysterical that C.H. and Sazz are wearing the exact same outfit. Mostly because Lynch and Martin play off each other so well.

The conversation with Idoko was fantastic. Zainab Jah was so perfect.
