MythBusters 2003

Starting Season 15, Kari, Tory, and Grant are no longer with the show. Their salaries have apparently gone to the film production staff. There are now a lot of visual effects and cutesy sketches, a departure from the sort of "garage show" feel back when they started out in the first seasons. All in all, the new approach is a lot better than I would have expected. However, it suffers from cutting back and forth between one project done by Adam and Jamie and another project done by Adam and Jamie. I understand that they are catering to the limited attention spans of their audience, but it was less jarring to cut back and forth between two different crews: Adam/Jamie and Kari/Tory/Grant. I think the change is for the worse, but the show is still watchable.

You can find Grant Imahara on Star Trek Continues.

Series was a blast, no pun intended, until they laid off Grant, Kari, and Tory.

Absolutely loved Mythbusters and it's sorely missed. If you're looking for something to fill that void, check out Assembly Required on the History Channel. As I began watching the previews for Assembly Required, I starting seeing shades of Mythbusters, which got me excited. After watching the first episode, it's almost as good as having Mythbusters back on the air! It's like Adam and Jamie got the viewers to build whatever they wanted to test that week, watch them build, critique, and then play with their creations. There's plenty of humour and the skills of the contestants are impressive. Add in the very unique builds they're being tasked to create in 90 minutes or over the span of a few days and I can't wait for the next episode!

Why is the Season ordering on this 1-18? Both TVDB and TMDB use the year, e.g. S2003 vs. S01. This breas a lot of scrobbling tools out there.
