I admire a lot of this, but yes, it's a mess. A lot of crazy cool ideas but it's just too much and it just doesn't always work. But there is an excellent series hidden here, it just needed a lot of polishing. I also think this might be more of Tara Hernandez's work moreso than Damon Lindelof, and you have to admire Lindelof for not just coming in and making it his show but rather assisting. Anyways, I am always on board for what he will do next.
This was f-ing awesome! Have no idea what is happening but it was the best pilot I’ve seen in a while.
if I got a nickel every time I thought what the fuck am I watching during this episode I could retire
Enjoyed first episode but don't have a clue what it's about.
Is that ChatGPT taking over the world?
Finally, something original and interesting!!!!
I'm not liking the first episode very much. It's hectic and chaotic and I really don't get the comparison of this mess to Preacher. Oh well, I'll give it a chance for a few more episodes and hopefully it will get better.
I could watch Betty Gilpin do crazy shit like this all day
Quirky and funny enough to be refreshing, but I feel that it lacks something... It is enough to pique my interest, though, so I'll keep on watching events unfold.
I’ve not seen something so crazy and so fun since Dirk Gently.
The entire first episode is just one gigantic what the fuck. And I love it.
Feels like what you would get if Earl Mac Rauch and Grant Morrison had co-created/-written Person of Interest. It bounces around from one idea to another, like it was all based on a whacky mid-nineties indie comic book. It is engaging and amusing, and barely gives you a chance to assess whether any of it makes sense, but not nearly as subversive as it would have been had it come out 30 years ago. That's not to say it wasn't fun. Definitely worth a watch for those you appreciate the likes of Happy!, Buckaroo Banzai, Men In Black and other such chaotic, high-concept genre offerings.
Fairly standard first episode stuff.
I thought it was frustrating and obnoxious. But I can see this jokey Deadpool-tone being popular.
I'm lost. I liked it. I will continue for reasons of need to find myself. hahahahaha
16 minutes in and I know I’m going to love this show.
