Been a long time since I've had good cliffhangers, I couldn't stop watching. Finished it in 2 days!
I wish I can rate it 11out of 10
The episode list is correct according to what Antena 3 aired, one season with tow parts (9 and then 6 episodes). The thing is the episodes were about 60 min long and Netflix decided to aired episodes of 45 minutes long more a less. So the thing is that the first season on Netflix (13 episodes) correspond to the first 9 episodes of the real series.
Note to self:
Netflix Part 1 = S1 Ep1 - Ep9 on Antena 3
Netflix Part 2 = S1 Ep10 - Ep15 on Antena 3
Netflix Part 3 = S2 Ep1 - Ep8 on Antena 3
Netflix Part 4 = S2 Ep9 - Ep16 on Antena 3
Just good enough to kill the time but so overrated for the fanboys.
Before I give thoughts on the show, first let me explain the episodes/season number mix-up. The original Spanish release of this show is only 3 seasons total. Netflix decided to turn 3 seasons into 5 parts, and they turned the first seasons 15 episodes into 22 (by cutting down the runtime to 45 minutes rather than 65).
So season 1 on Trakt is equivalent to part 1 AND 2 on Netflix (though Netflix has 22 episodes compared to 15 on here - but it's the same content, the episodes are just edited shorter on Netflix).
Season 2 on Trakt is equivalent to part 3 AND 4 on Netflix. On Netflix, both parts are 8 episodes each, and those correspond perfectly with the 16 episode season 2 on Trakt.
Finally, season 3 is the only one that actually matches up the epsiode numbers exactly on here and on Netflix - though it's called part 5 on Netflix.
Now some thoughts on the show: this is a hard show to recommend or talk about. The first heist (season 1 on here) is very good, and it's some of the best heist/crime TV you'll see. I was hooked from start to finish (despite some small plot holes or unbelievability). 8.5/10
But after the first heist, things go downhill VERY quickly. The rest of the show is based around one more heist, and for the most part, it's an entertaining watch. But what was a pretty well written show, suddenly becomes a badly written show, filled with character inconsistencies, plot holes, and a whole new level of unbelievability. The first 8 episodes of what is season 2 on here (part 3 on Netflix) is pretty good. But the 8 episodes that come after are not so good. Overall, it's an entertaining watch, but a HUGE step down compared to what came before. Season 2 gets a 6.5/10.
Lastly, we come to season 3 (part 5 on Netflix). This season is just bad. Aside from the last 2 episodes, it's not good at all outside from a few decent moments. I've truly never seen a TV show deteriorate in quality so quickly and consistently as this one does, especially not when a show started off so great in the beginning. 4.5/10 (would be lower if not for the satisfying finale).
I'd recommend watching the first heist (season 1/parts 1 & 2) but unless you're really keen on being disappointed, don't watch any further. Fortunately it's not a long watch.
I am only 7 episodes in and I do not see why everyone likes this show. Everything is dragged out and everyone in this show (cops and robbers) are the most unprofessional that I may have ever seen in a show like this.
Jeez all the characters are so annoying as fuck. Except Nairobi, of course. She seems to be the only reasonable person. I wanted Tokyo to die for like half the season and then I gave up.
Just finished it. Amazing. But how can it be the that the episodes are messed up in here? Such a popular show and hasn't been fixed? Sad :/
La Casa de Papel started out great, but became a little bit too much later on. If they could’ve condensed the second heist a bit more it would be a lot better. Now it became hard to believe and thus hard to watch. I only watched it till the end because I was curious how they would wrap it all up. Conclusion: OK, nothing more.
Jesus this show is so pathetic is painful to watch. Every 10 minutes people falling to 10 IQ and commit dumb shit just to keep the story going. Sadly can't rate it 0/10
This is what you get if you mix "Inside Men" and a soap opera. The premise is interesting, but the writing is lazy because most of the suspense comes from the robbers doing exactly what they are told not to do. We are supposed to believe that they planned the heist for this for 6 months, yet almost everyone is written as a downright mentally challenged amateur, who do the opposite that they are supposed to do. The protagonist girl is basically Kim from "24", she exists only to f*ck up everything by acting like an idiot constantly.
A very good series, I also would like for the second season to be imported to trakt so I can rate it as well. Anyways, overall, the first season is amazing, so is the second season because it has more suspense and surprises.
It's interesting how a show can make you sympathise with supposedly "the bad guys". But, after the first season you realise that these "thieves" are not bad. Why? Because they are not stealing anyone's money, they are simply making their own money. Besides, they represent the resistance against the oppressive government who gives to the rich and forgets the poor. They're like Robin Hood. The song that they sing "Bella Ciao" justifies just that. The song is about the resistance against the invaders and the bad people. The song is about fighting till death for honor and dignity. My italian is not that good but I do know what's "Partigiano" means, they are mentioned in the song, they are the resistance of Italy in the WWII.
Therefore, this is what this series is about, not a robbery. It's about resistance. I watched the two seasons in just a matter of three or maybe four days, and it gave me so much entertnainment and so much food for thought. Kudos to the production crew.
Possibly the most over hyped show I’ve ever seen. The writing is awful. There are so many plot holes in the story. I recommend not wasting 5 seasons of your time.
perfect show, intesne as f*ck whole time.
cant recommend it enough!
10/10
Extremely overrated. Exciting and interesting start, but it gets boring and repetitive fast. I can't imagine a reason to stick around for Season 2 other than to see what happens with Nairobi. AKA the best thing to come out of this series.
I wish i could forget everything what i saw and watch it all over again!! Omg, i can't express better my feelings about these series! Sad it ended. . . But ending hucking awesome!
Nice idea, but bat as Prison Break. Long scenes, explaining the feeling, then feeling, maybe feeling and at the end... feelings. Every episode shloud be 15 minutes long and it is enough. Too many retrospectives, empty dialogs. Very boring after few episodes.
With remote controller for skipping it is ok, otherwise wasting of time.
How do you make 40+ episode series of a heist? Making it a SOAP OPERA… too overrated, couldn’t watch past the first 5 episodes… and I’m Spanish
Season one (the heist in the Spanish Royal Mint) is superb television. Tense, full of action and character drama, and exciting plot twists at every turn. Sure, it's sometimes over the top or unbelievable, but it never stops being fun, and all the characters are fantastic and flawed and crazy.
Season two is utter crap and shouldn't have been made.
Note on episodes: the episodes listed here on Trakt.tv are for the original play order from Spanish TV. Netflix recut the episodes from season one and broke them down into two seasons or parts. The 15 episodes listed on Trakt.tv constitute the first two parts available on Netflix, made up of 13+9 episodes. These two parts are sometimes called "seasons," too, just to add to the confusion.
In other words:
Season 1 (15 episodes) on Trakt.tv = Seasons 1 (13 episodes) + 2 (9 episodes) on Netflix (aka parts 1+2)
Season 2 (16 episodes) on Trakt.tv = Seasons 3 (8 episodes) + 4 (8 episodes) on Netflix (aka parts 3+4)
This isn't a Netflix Original, they only bought it (and wasted it too, it should have ended with only 15 episodes, or 22 for Netflix version).
I don't get what all the fuss is about here. This is all very un-believable, the acting is really poor, and most of all, it seems to have been written by a bunch of 14 year olds.....I gave up when the lady cop was asking The Professor out to Dinner, at the same time as someone was trying to crush him in a car....for no reason. ...Like its so-called Professor, this series is not nearly as smart as it thinks it is. Special mention for the atrocious french dubbing, worthy of the worst tele novela
Pure garbage. Lacks in writing and credibility. Pointless and boring flashbacks all over the place that made me reconsider and regret the ones from Lost. The overall rating and the general excitement for this tv show are proof that you should never trust people.
nearly perfect!
enjoyed every minute of it.
For what seems like an eternity, I kept seeing Money Heist pop up on my Netflix screen but never watched it. boy was that a big mistake! Absolutely phenomenal show. After binge watching all four seasons this past week, I can't believe I have to wait another year for season 5.
Love the show. Better than any american movie or show I've seen that is similar to this. Solid 11/10
So if you haven't, go ahead and watch it. And enjoy yourself.
The original "Money Heist" series was written and planned as a one-time thing, with each characters' story arc perfectly closed by the end of part two. The writing and pacing have always been shaky, but at least the show hardly held back with its choices. As the events developed, you could feel the tension and danger because there was no need to keep anyone clean and alive for future seasons. This new heist commissioned by Netflix forcefully brings the original gang together plus a couple of new additions, and it's clear that they are trying to milk the cow for as long as possible. Situations are stretched out till they become ridiculous, characters like Arturo and Andres have been brought back for no particular reason, and the mandatory soap opera nonsense gets bigger and bigger.
At first, it's not clear if the show is taking itself seriously, but by the beginning of the third season, it became obvious that we are asked to enjoy things as they go without thinking about it, like in a Fast & Furious movie. The whole second and third seasons are more self-aware and entertainment-oriented than the previous, but at the same time, Tokyo's "deep" aphorisms in the narration suggest differently.
It's absolutely ridiculous that the writers are doing the impossible to make the authorities look bad so that they can justify a gang of terrorists getting recognized as teenager idols. New characters Sierra and Palermo were fairly interesting though, boom boom ciao bullshit aside. I hate Rio and Tokyo, so whoever hurts them bad gets my respect.
The pacing has been pretty slow for the whole first season and slightly picked up in the second, while it goes quite speedy in the third if not for the Berlin flashbacks. Those were just to backdoor sell you some spin-off or just bring back fan-favorite characters.
Wow what a show, a Must watch. every episode is so smartly done, sad it ended but as with everything all good things must come to an end.
"Bella Chow Chow Chow "
Amazing first season and although the last 2 are a bit less, they are still entertaining enough
After just finishing all 5 parts I’ll say part 1-2 solid 9/10 had great action, intensity, acting, story telling. Not much they could’ve done in my opinion to improve it. And then end of part had a great ending that could’ve easily been the conclusion of the series.
Part 3-5 while entertaining and very much still enjoyable just felt as an whole it wasn’t necessary. Rio getting arrested and tortured was nothing but his own doing and based on the whole rules from parts 1-2 the whole point was no emotional attachment so didn’t get why so many were ready to risk their happy life for rio. Also felt like it dragged a bit cause the bank heist lasted for so long. But the ending was beautiful well worth it. As an series I give it 7 maybe 8 out of 10. Would still recommend it as an whole.
Berlin and Nairobi are the best on the team!
The professor is smart but doesn't follow his own rules. -_-
berlin very sexy, send comment
The first season (part 1 and 2 on netflix) were alright, i really disliked how hyper emotional characters got, to an unrealistic unstable level. Like
Tokyo going completely insane-asylum breakdown[spoilers]. Most of the characters are unlikable but are meant to be the heroes, most of the plot devices are predictable and people switch sides based on a 15 second conversation.
The second season (part 3/4 on netflix) were much worse, the story was a copy paste, with a straightforward excuse to do the same thing again, namely lockdown the bank, prisoners create chaos
infact they got the idiot from the first season back just to rub it in your face
there are all the tropes of the first season back, with one exception. They added a
die hard
plotline where completely unrealistic cartoon events happen which completely breaks the tone.
I imagine the writers were completely stuck with the success of the first season and had no original ideas, therefore cannot see any future seasons being an improvement honestly at this point.
Was entertaining if very frustrating, cringeworthy and predictable at a lot of points. Its plot twists are meant to blind you to the flaws.
hold the bank and hostages for a month while we print money is a recipe for "fillerkiller" and thats exactly what this is a slow boring load ofcrap
If you watched "Inside Man", you can not compare to this. And if you didn't watch that movie, you should.
Silly and unrealistic. Keeping hostages and law enforcement at bay for more than a week? Yeah riight.
This is cool but rather misogynist.
Of all the Netflix Original shows they have made, this is no doubts the best one! R.I.P. Nairobi... I can’t lie that I cried in that episode, but I think we are going to see even more as the shows goes on the next seasons.
This is the best tv show I've watched in while. I got so nervous watching it lol
Such a waste of time. Everything is bad here, acting, writing, scenography. I wish Netflix stopped promoting this crap! And I wish people waked up and realize this is not good stuff!!
Started off with promise but I soon realised that the story was full of'padding' which really did not advance the characters or entertain. I can't remember when I watched a TV show where guns were pointed at each other so often and with the same predictable outcome. The dialogue is simplistic and banal at times although this may be down to the need for accurate lip syncing. The premise of the heist is very good but it is spoiled by a lack of detail, like the dead heist member breathing on the table and the sillyness of the captors counting handfulls of notes at a table when the are stealing several millions. Despite it's lack of sophistication in places the acting is fairly decent although some of the characters are almost pantomime in nature. Worth watching in my opinion but don't beleve the hype that seems to follow it.
Amazing!
Just blew my mind, so intriguing! So original.
Storyline quality: 10/10
Characters: 10/10
Originality: 10/10
Acting, directing and
technical quality: 10/10
Progression: 10/10
Consistency: 9 /10
Intensity
(cliffhangers, edge of seat and the like): 9/10
There have been a lot of complaints about this show, but I loved it. Sure the acting wasn't Academy Award winning, but the actors sucked you into their characters. There was a mixture of humour, action, suspense and pathos, which is lacking with some other shows. The fact it was originally aired in Spanish, but the later seasons by Netflix, were over dubbed in a much better way.
Season 5 starts as an all out War. I won't spoil the last part of Season 5, but there are more twists in it than a 60's Disco.
"Ready Steady Cut" summed it up - 'We will never see a story like this ever again. It’s been a pleasure'
Season 1 is awesome. Season 2 part 1 is not as good but still ok. And then apparently they decided they are going to drag it out and waste our time. Season 2 part 2 is so stupid that it's painful to watch. Feels like I am watching a bad reality show, the characters apparently lost 100 IQ points each during the season break, and things happen that would look dumb and out of place even in the worst quality parody of an action b-movie.
This is an awesome show & gonna miss Nairobi. But season 4 was pretty weak, compared to others. I hope they get back to the level of previous seasons, if not they need to end the show. I can see this going downhill in future seasons, if they continue the show.
For all of you who are asking to modify the number of episodes, Trakt pulls their data from TVDB, which won't allow the series to be split in two seasons, because their policy is to keep it the way it was originally aired, meaning one season, 15 episodes. If you want to try and convice TVDB to change their mind : https://forums.thetvdb.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=51784
A show that will become to be more and more famous, excellent acting and a very good idea to follow an heist on a long run with right surprises.
Will watch season 2 right now !
Not sure why season 4 isn’t here but Gandia’s character made it a 10/10 for me. He was the challenge they all needed to spice things up a little. Him teamed with Alicia, LETHAL.
Everywhere I search, there are 5 seasons. But here I see 3. What's going on? I'm confused.
Go for prison break instead of this soap opera filled with nothing but unnecessary melodrama.
from wikipedia:
"Money Heist (Spanish: La casa de papel, transl. The House of Paper) is a Spanish television series created by Álex Pina. The first season, consisting of two parts, premiered on 2 May 2017, on Spanish network Antena 3. The TV show portrays heists on the Royal Mint of Spain and the Bank of Spain by a group of code-named robbers, as they battle with hostages on the inside, and the police on the outside. As of 3 April 2020, 31 episodes of Money Heist have aired, concluding the second season.
In late 2017, Netflix acquired the global streaming rights for the series, and recut the original 15 episodes into 22. Netflix officially renewed the series for a third part in 2018, which premiered on 19 July 2019. A fourth part was released on 3 April 2020. A documentary involving the producers and the cast premiered on Netflix the same day, titled Money Heist: The Phenomenon."
So we need two episode guides, original episodes guide and Netflix episodes guide.
Can anybody create a netflix guide? I don't have rights to create a new list.
Outstanding series, one of the best series on Netflix
Excellent acting, many likable characters and the overall plot is great, but a lot of times very unrealistic. Nevertheless, a very enjoyable show.
11 out of 10.... best show in recent years... including GoT, Sherlock and Co.
  This was just great!
This is a show that extremely unsophisticated TV watchers would think is "mind-blowing" or "suspenseful" in ways that aren't done immensely better elsewhere. This show ask you, constantly, to check your brain at the door and try to suppress the common sense questions that fundamentally undermine the overarching premise and assumptions. If I could be bothered to go back and record them, it's things like "How does the guy standing right outside the bathroom door not hear....?" Some version of that scene and question will happen a dozen times, but for the sake of the way-too-outstretched plot, everyone just carries on.
The characters are inconsistent. The "brilliance" of the scheme is undermined by not just the crew who've allegedly studied for months to pull it off, but in their erratic and incomprehensible attitude towards how they treat the captives. It's honestly a mess. I'm struggling to even half pay attention to it sped up. I don't care what happens to any of them. When they pretend to raise the stakes, something insane swoops in to return to a tepid middle. The English voice acting is insufferable, but it also might be the best highlight of the terrible writing. This is definitely the winner for "worst show compared to hype" I've experienced in quite some time. The mismatch in ratings I'd suspect came from an insane campaign or bot system.
literally the best TV show I have ever seen.
Way too drawn out for this concept. It just became a soap opera in a bank.
Currently at part 3 ep 7. It is kinda good and bad honestly. It's awesome coz the professor planned it all so well but their biggest problem is always LOVE and trust. Love between tokyo and rio and tokyo being unstable and rash seems to always mess things up. Rio being too clingy is another factor of them messing up. The moment the professor started having "love" problems with Lisbon and wasn't available at the command center quickly escalated into the entire team falling out with each other, with everyone having their own plans to get out and save themselves. So much for teamwork, it only took the professor's absence to crumble the team inside out.
Secondly, them being as robbers that are so friendly and caring to the point that the hostages can push them around, i mean it's an interesting concept because they didn't wanna hurt anyone and sorta wanted to make use of that to get public support but to the point when hostages aren't afraid of them is kind of a joke to me. They have guns for God's sake.
Lastly, i remember this part where the assault team closed in and were shooting at Rio and Tokyo, they were cornered but guess what? Tokyo got shot (she has bullet vest on) and the assault team were such sharpshooters they all shot the vest, not anywhere else BUT only the vest coz she made it out with zero injuries and they were kinda at point blank range. That concept is pushing it, as much as u wanna keep your characters around, at least make it a lil more believable. So far, this show isn't too bad and I'm sure I'm gonna finish it, i hope they can wrap it up well.
keeps you on the edge, one of the best tv shows.
Recommend everyone to watch it!
Best Spanish show ever. The first and second seasons was amazing, then it comes down a little, but was good enough.
Money Heist Season 1,2,3,4,5.
Me. Watched Completed.
One of the best series ever seen Attractive and spectacular
Be sure to watch this series
session 4 and 5!!!!!!????
bhcjzjhzfjfJsztsit
Just got to the end of the series and the last 2 episodes are 10 out of :keycap_ten: with a brilliant last episode. Hat's off to all involved. :thumbsup_tone1: :clap::clap::clap:
Excellent show. Had me hooked from start to finish. Roller-coaster ride with highs and lows. Probably the best hiest show I have ever seen. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Not all episodes are of equal quality, but overall a very well presented show. The professor is brilliant. :thumbsup_tone1:
Where are seasons 4 and 5 ?
This is just S+ tier
I will miss it. But it was an excellent tv series. Of course it had its less good moments, but overall I loved the TV series
just the first season wouldve been enough tbh it kept declining but the last episode was the best one
Yo all the hype and extended season,
In the end, was worth it dude i was actually surprised the way they ended everything . They made it worth it
If you don't like this sort of show, don't watch it. One of the best TV shows not to have come out of the US or UK in a long time. Part 5 makes every Chuck Norris, Stallone and Schwarzenegger movie look like a child's program
I love this TV show
Why am I still watching this show? It should’ve ended after season 2.
Why aren't Season 3 & 4 not added yet? And when I find the one with all four it's only in the language French.
Was great but slipping down.
Stupid and so unrealistic. Imagine taking hostages in a bank and holding them while keeping law enforcement at bay for a couple of weeks. Yeah, riight.
Kidilan polli sanam
Waiting for next
Entertaining show, with good story but predictable and weak plot. Still keeps you on the ropes from time to time.
Does anyone know if episode 31 of the series is the last one? I want to know if it's already ended
Nairobi i love her:heart_eyes:
Very captivating! Although somewhat stretched by the serial format, there was no boredom. I saw some very good actors, I liked Alba Flores best.
I recommend watching this with suitable subtitles. Otherwise one would lose some of the expression of the acting.
And there are quite good actors in this show!
Great Thriller ; Hotblooded Tokyo and Rio get on the nerves constantly
Season1 above listed covers (Netflix)
Part1 (13) , Part2 (9)
Season2 covers Part3 (8)
I don‘t understand why everybody like that show so much.
The Story:
A horny kindergarden group with a great plan are robbing a bank. Most of the time they don‘t look for the hostages, sex is more important than everything else and who cares for the plan. Maybe they should try again when they are grown up...
I saw 15 episodes from season 1 and 7 from season 2 and now 8 from season 3 ... I don't understand the numbering ... at least I ended up watching the 30 episodes in total
There is a misalignment between Netflix and episode list here. Netflix shows 3 parts/seasons with a total of 30 episode. Season 2 here appears to be part 3 on Netflix?
Amazing show. Looking forward for the 4th season. I liked very much the way it ended in the third season. Action, love, adventure and unexpected events. All of you should see it.
Excelent spanish production, maybe some episodes can be not necessary and they produced to become more longer. But excellent at the global.
I have to say..... not expecting this at all. Good show all around. Specially if you understand Spanish. Somethings get lost in translation to English.
It’s a really good show, it has some good cliffhangers. Just watch it!
Just AMAZING!! I wish it never ended!
Good series, sometimes acting is not so good.
One thing is crap, how can people telling each other I love you, I wanna marry you just after 5 days ?
One of the best I have ever seen.
THIS IS THE BEST SERIE EVER
One of the best tv shows I’ve ever seen, very good! Excelent ending!
I have not been on edge from a tv show in awhile. 10 out of 10. HIGHLY recommend this show if you can deal with reading subtitles.
A stellar example of the often underrated and overlooked international TV and film industry!

If there are still people complaining about the second season not being here and the first one only having 13 episodes: The original Spanish series currently (June 2018) has 15 episodes (part 1: 9 episodes, part 2: 6 episodes), each episode being 70 minutes long! That‘s what you‘re seeing here. Netflix made 40-55 minute episodes out of them, resulting in 13 episodes for the first part and 9 episodes for the second part, so that’s 22 episodes overall. A little confusing, but everything is right in Trakt.tv. There are 15 episodes in the spanisch release and 22 episodes in the Netflix release. And it‘s two parts in Netflix, not two seasons (yet).
The first 9 episodes aired in spain are the first 13 episodes in Netflix and the last 6 episodes aired in spain as a second part, are also the second part in Netflix, but with 9 episodes. It’s that simple ;)
And for those of you being like „Fix it!“ ... Trakt.TV pulls data from other databases (TMDB, TVDB), so that‘s where data comes from. Those databases are community driven, so if there actually would be an error, you could fix it yourself. But there isn‘t, so everything‘s fine! :)
