Off to a great start, loved the atmosphere and the way they pick up the story again. The humor was on point too, not as skin crawling as some other shows :) I just liked 2x01 very much and makes me want to see the rest.
It was alright. It started with a bang with the arrest of Dottie but I became less interested as the episode went on. I don't find the mystery of the ice / murder very engaging so far and I don't know if I'm on board with a love triangle but this was only the season premiere so we shall see how everything goes.
Jarvis' wife Ana only had a few minutes of screentime but I absolutely love her already and I'll be quite disappointed if she doesn't show up again.
Nothing special. I hope the second one will be better
Peggy Carter is back and the series maintains the style of T1, but now in Los Angeles
What a great scene to start this second season!
Something's missing. It's hard to put my finger on exactly, but some of the spark of the show's first season, which was not without its cheesy or undercooked elements, was absent in the opening go around. The writing isn't as strong, for one thing. The dialogue gave me more face-palms than is typical even for Agents of Shield these days. And while I can appreciate the move to Los Angeles as a way to freshen up the show's setting, there's a weird gauzey hue to everything that makes the sets and costumes seem chintzy rather than larger-than-life or convincing. And the acting seems more exaggerated here than it was in the past.
Hayley Atwell is still sharp as a tack, and James D'Arcy still shines as her bumbling second with a heart-of-gold, but the rest of the collection of characters are still fairly hit or miss. Sousa was already pretty whitebread last season, and the romantic tension between he and Atwell seems forced since he was the one pining for her last season, with no clear reason for why the roles seem to have been reversed now. Mrs. Jarvis seems like a collection of stereotypes and quirks more than a real character. Wilkes has a certain charm, but there's an Ed Helms goofiness quality to him that makes him hard to take seriously. There's hints of interesting characters on the margins -- Dottie is still a pistol and Sousa's new girlfriend has a certain endearing sweetness to her that portends either tragedy or a turncoat, but otherwise there's not many folks to latch onto beyond the leads.
That extends to the villains as well. The evil starlet and senator-to-be have a soap opera villain vibe to them. Maybe it's meant to be a throwback to the style of filmmaking in the 1950s, but it's all somewhat hard to warm to.
The plot itself seems interesting enough. There's another supernatural-esque murder mystery to unravel and plenty of opportunities for Agent Carter to ply her trade with the verve that Atwell musters, but nothing that really gripped me going forward. We'll see where it goes from here.
Have u guys noticed that the Periodic Table at about 18:22 in the background had already filled up the 7th line ?
This new season is on point! Loving it so far.

Hayley Atwell is still in great form. So far though the season isn't as engaging or well written as the first though. However Agent Carter is still one of the best shows on tv.
