Oh man, this story is going the wrong way. The writing is getting bad. While watching I am thinking about the writing the plotholes and how maybe new writers are saving the story arc... filling up plotholes I a very easy way... and when I notice I am thinking all of this while watching... well said enough.
Manifest is the wrong name.. "the callings" is better..lol.
Anyway the callings keep the show going.. the follow up fast and the storyline of a particular calling even faster. That makes it very predictable.. after 20+ callings that 'trick' and the ,'fun' is gone..
Watching this with my wife.. see wants to keep going.. aaargh, what to do :wink:
Usually i don't watch "mystery" tv shows but this one got me for good, if like me you're not a mystery fan this one is for you!

Looking back on it, from a more established perspective, a whole lot was happening in this season with barely anything happening. In that sense, I guess that's somewhat of an accomplishment, so much happening, all around the same time, relatively. Since it has been a while since I've watched the first season, I'm unsure of which season I'd consider being better. But off the top of my head and on the fly, I'd probably consider the first season better than this one, mainly because that was the beginning, and things were more interesting as everything was at its start. In this season, there was more leeway to have all this soap opera-like focus with just a little amount of focus on what matters. But I guess that was necessary, to appeal to a bigger audience even if the majority would like less of it and more of the mystery. Hopefully, that likely intention will turn out to be successful, and the show will be renewed for another season.
