Manifest: Season 1

1x01 Pilot

the idea is great, but the acting and writing is plain awful...

That was a lot better than I went in expecting. This show could turn out to be fantastic if done correctly. I hope it will.

It was really good up to that explosion in the end. The CGI was cringe worthy.

Guess I have a different opinion then other reviewers. I thought this first episode was amazingly good!! Even had to grab some tissues at the family reunion part. Looking forward to seeing how this season plays out and what the explanation for what really happened to this flight 828.

Typical NBC "SCI-FI Drama". Seems every year they give us some fantastical story and then cancel it early!!!

I like the idea. It is quite intriguing. As long as the last season won’t end up explaining that they are all dead and they have to let it go! Hopefully they won’t a Lost!!!

Ooooh, I love a good mystery! I never watched Lost, but I'm definitely getting some strong FlashForward vibes. I just hope this one won't suffer FlashForward's fate.
This is one of those episodes where I know it's not that great and I'm definitely over rating it, but somehow I truly enjoyed this pilot, though I don't expect the rest of the show to keep me glued to the screen as much.
And, yes, at the end we're supposed to be watching the plane explode but, if you look closely, the explosion seems to take place somewhere between the viewer and the plane, not in the plane itself. Really bad special effects.

I really enjoyed this pilot, good thing it’s one of the very few new shows i was looking forward to. Question is, will it survive past season one? I’m afraid it will become one of these great promising sci-fi shows that end up on a cliffhanger...

A real attractive plot. Left us all wanting more. Trying to place myself in any of the passengers shoes would be a nightmare for me.

So far so good! let's see where this goes

The starting point is interesting, we'll see how it goes, I hope it's not another Flashforward

This is Hot Garbage! I don't know what demographic they are trying to play to, but this hit all the wrong buttons for me. It's like someone grew up watching 4400 and Lost, then decides it would be a great idea to mix it in with The Langoliers. Again, Literal Garbage. Literally Unwatchable. The acting is bad, the forced emotions and religion are bad, and the overall laziness is very annoying. Way to ruin a perfectly good idea and make sure it gets cancelled early

A slow start to this series. I'm not encouraged yet, but given how much I tend to dislike pilots, I will give it at least another episode before I decide whether or not to continue with this series, but it better advance things more quickly and/or deeply than the pilot.

Intriguing start, even if not particularly original. I never watched Lost but I get a lot of Lost-vibes off of this and not only because of the plane. Acting is okay, not as bad as others make this out to be.
Although, weak spot so far is Josh Dallas, the brother. He is terrible and needs to improve as soon as possible - or get less screentime.
Melissa Roxburgh is the lead and does a superior job compared to Dallas. Pair them up and bad scenes entail. The writing is a bit all over the place but the show needs to find its own pace yet. Mystery shows are difficult these days as they have the tendency to drag on, losing audience quickly these days. The view numbers for the next two episodes are going to be interesting.

Seems like this show gets a lot of "hate" already.
Guess this is going to be a must watch then.

Feels a bit like The 4400 and Heroes (The latter is just a general feeling though).

I really hope it gets good ratings since I enjoyed the Pilot.

the setup is promising but it could just as easily fail as fly depending in which direction they're going with this

I feel like it’s very stupid of me to start this show knowing it’s been canceled, but I’ve been curious about it since it first aired, I find the premise very intriguing. I just hope it isn’t like religious propaganda.
And oh wow, I feel like there should be a better way to tell people they’ve been missing for over FIVE years, the detectives weren’t very assertive.
The voices were a little too much buy okay.
I hope we get more mystery and even like a super natural explanation.

Bad acting and dialogues are ridiculous. So disappointed.

Good premise but I agree with the person who said the acting is bad lol. Also before I even saw it I thought “Lost and 4400 had a baby.”
Timeless was more interesting. So NBC cancelled that of course. I will stick with the show nevertheless.

I really enjoyed this episode. I think the cop could get annoying but it was an interesting show. I like how the puzzle pieces fit. So far so good

this was pretty bad, no consistency in the writing and absurd things happen in this one
