Ladies and Gentlemen.. allow me to introduce the new Mayor of friend zone.:tada:
The Mark is not leaving that friend zone lol.
It will NEVER work out between Jessica and Mark. Never. It's painful to watch how hard Mark is trying, when it's clear that Jessica would rather marry Barnett.
Not exactly sure why I watched this show and it's pretty much what you would expect. From the participants (contestants?) in the first episode the 2 couple who seemed the easiest match went through a week of blind dates in their pods then got engaged. I'd like to think that the feeling holds and just as nice genuine people they are both able to form a real bond.
At the end of episode 1 there is a long trailer that reveals many of the couples who get engaged then go on the holiday where they are seen arguing, meeting their families, kissing, undressing, showering etc and then walking down the isle... and even getting cold feet. It seems that there is little left to really bother watching for. The first couple to get engaged seem to make it the whole way while the rest are a mix of melodrama.
A couple more engagements happen in episode 2 (if anyone still cares) but the show is actually quite superficial for a show about people foregoing superficial judgements of potential partners. I'm vaguely interested to watch the later episode when couple #1 get married but I could just as easily Google that and be just as satisfied.

Mark doesn't meet the height requirement needed to escape Jessica's friend zone.
