Christ on a bike!
This was an intense un.
And omg. “I salute your courage sir”
This was incredible :joy:
10/10 episode. Evolution, action, grief and redemption.
[Netflix] A short film about the consequences of war and the complicity of looking the other way. When Mason opens the barn doors and finds the "ratpocalypse" he assumes the perception of violence. Wrapped in a macabre sense of humor, it's a clever story that has a current reading about how we look at wars from a comfortable distance. Axis Studios' hyper-realistic animation falls short of "The tall grass" (S2E5) perfection, but it's quite remarkable.
Best episode for this season.
Ratatouille, but without food and way more violent. Or an alternate take on the Nutcracker and the Mouse King, but make it a farmer and rats.
This is a weird little episode, but strangely entertaining.
I enjoy the style of animation, because it's very fitting for the storytelling and I kinda love the Scottish influenced music here.
The story is chaotic and brutal, but (and that's not a given for this show) it comes with a strangely endearing ending and a nice message about team work and putting differences aside to form a peaceful way of co-existence.
Or my killer robot's enemy is my friend. Depending on how much you want to read into it.
Delightfully good show... and then Mason got leptospirosis.
i don't like seeing animals being brutalized the way they were here
I expected the rats to give him a glass of poison at the end. But it was a good episode nonetheless.
I don't consider myself too squeamish anymore, but there was just a little too much blood in this one for me (not like "oh, I'm grossed out" but more "the blood is honestly distracting me from the story"). Other than that I loved it, the concept and the story and the ANIMATION, I want a whole movie in this animation style. Reminded me a bit of The BFG, but with a more clay-y look too it, harder edges with both the models and the shading. Pixar could turn this into a movie and I'd love it. Also, RIP Susan, you didn't deserve that but I saw it coming anyway.
There killed so many rats in this episode and I felt so bad that I started to develop empathy.
That was gross, but hilarious.

Damn, I don't remember this part of Ratatouille.
