It's a shame what happened, but there wasn't enough evidence. Partly to blame was the mother and her behaviour, plus other factors. It looked like the daughter was rehearsed. the doctor looked too much like a zealot like adam said. I'm surprised the nanny didn't come forward, so she must have been a big part of it all. But he did do it, you could tell because of what the first daughter said, though there isn't 100% certainty. But i think the episode would have been more entertaining if the first daughter didn't say anything at al, either neutral comments or slightly good ones/nothing about molestation, then there would have been more of a debate/tension if the guy was really guilty or innocent, but he was guilty from what we were shown.

Although I agree with the previous poster Ward about the nanny, as to why she wasn't questioned about any of the accusations. I disagree that the father would be guilty based on what we were shown. However I would say that it is possibly due to the episode not showing enough investigation as to why it is left more uncertain. Instead of just going with the guy who seems to be a zealot, why wasn't the daughter examined by an unbiased medical professional? Based on the daughter's last interview in the judges chamber, when she was asked one if the questions she didn't say that she couldn't remember or that she didn't want to say. Instead replied with something like, I can't remember what I am supposed to say as though she was coached. Also that the one lady would be mad. The mother clearly had motive with wanting to move out of the country when she can't when the father had shared custody unless she gave up her rights. In the end of the episode the daughter was kidnapped again, and they didn't say that the woman who did would be arrested for kidnapping her after the jury made its ruling.
