The judge was wrong. The law was wrong, clearly. McCoy knew it. Abbie knew it. They are experienced in the law, in the justice system and it's flaws, and ridiculously, the judge excluded the gun, the literal murder weapon and which was reached for by the kid to kill the cops who came to his door.
McCoy often knows that sometimes you have to bend the law in order to achieve true justice.
It was nice seeing Jamie again though. And Skoda too.
Lol Abbie talked about the testosterone in the room when Jack was arguing with Briscoe and Green, but what about the cat fighting between Jamie and Abbie? Loved it. And seeing two ADA's of the show going at it is nice. It reminded me a bit of when Kincaid faced off against Robinette.
I'd say 25 years to life but with a possibility of parole. He's still a teenager, and i believe he has the possibility for rehabilitation. The psychiatrist thought that too.
What an interesting little end there though, with the three of them talk a little about their thoughts. Nora said it might have been kinder to give him the needle, which may be true. Abbie was quite harsh in that she was fine either way. Abbie does not think about individual's mindset over a long period of time, she's more about immediate and full justice. But the interesting thing at the very end is McCoy's response. There is none. He does not put forward his thought or belief. Instead he stands there, pondering it. It shows he didn't agree with them, or fully agree. That's part of what i like about McCoy, his sometimes reflection about his own beliefs.
